Meet Ethel, a 46 pound 3 year old Doodle who came to us with her sister, Lucille.  Both girls are looking for a quiet home without small children as they can be startled by noises and fearful in new situations.   Ethel and Lucille are timid with new people, but they have already come to trust their foster family.  Ethel's foster dad says she is very affectionate with him,  loves to play with her favorite ball, enjoys going for walks and just being outside.  She gets along well with both small and large dogs and can be quite playful with her sister and the foster's dogs.   Ethel is crate trained and working on her housetraining.  Both dogs would benefit from having another dog in the family to give them confidence. A fenced yard is required. Ethel's minimum adoption fee is $250 plus a $15 rabies registration fee for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Shadow is a 14 year old 10-lb poodle (we think that makes him a toy poodle, not a miniature poodle) who has had a series of heartbreaks. His first mom, who loved him very much, died of cancer. His second mom also got cancer and was unable to take care of him, so he got severely matted and emaciated. It's now time to find his a loving home that will take care of him even if his time on earth isn't more than a few years. Could that be you? He is starting to show his playful side and loves to cuddle up on your lap. He will bark when he wants to go outside and seems to love car rides. We do know that he's stone deaf, but sees enough and his sniffer definitely works. He loves any and all treats, and even if his dental left him with few remaining teeth, he will find a way to eat them. The $300 adoption fee covers his neuter, dental, sedated groom, vaccines, heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, deworming medication, and microchip registration.
