Story
Clooney is a 2 year old poodle mix. He is very sweet with humans, but it takes him a little bit to warm up to new people. Clooney loves to play fetch, definitely one of his favorite things ever. He is housebroken and has had no accidents here since being housed without other dogs. Clooney prefers to be the only pet in a home. He has lived with other dogs of all sizes - but it really seems to stress him and make him snappy with other animals. At this point he’s really hoping for a family where he is the spoiled child of the family and doesn’t have to share. Clooney should not live with cats or smaller dogs. He loves to romp, run, and fetch - so a fenced yard is a plus. He is low energy for his age, and needs a family who is committed to getting him groomed every six weeks. Honestly a great boy looking for a special family to call his own.

Story
Kade is a one year old Goldendoodle. He arrived at SOAR when he escaped from a new family that purchased him from a breeder. Instead of waiting for him to be safely returned, they bought another pup from the same breeder. One of our partners rescued Kade after tracking his movements over time outside. He was surrendered to the shelter, where we pulled him. Kade likes other dogs, big and small, and has found a best friend here in another dog, Bubba. He is housed with a crew of dogs of all ages and types. We think he would do well with or without another dog. Kade has been around humans of all ages and sizes, and does fine. Because of his experience as a pup, he still sometimes lacks confidence. He prefers a family who thrives with structure and daily/weekly routine, so he knows what to expect and what happens next in his day. Kade would like to be included in family activities, and likes people who are gentle and patient, so he can continue to grow into a confident boy. He is flight risk until he knows his people, so will require a secure and fenced yard. He has been joining our dog walker and does excellently on a leash. He’s very sweet, and once you’re his person, likes to snuggle and gives little small kisses. Kade has done well crated here, and goes potty outside using a crate. Our team has recently started working with him to be left free-roaming in his space as well. Kade requires grooming every 6-8 weeks, so adopters should be aware of that financially.

Hello everyone! My name is Bobby Flay! I am a 12 to 13 week old Maltese poodle mix! I am a tiny sweet little boy coming in at around 5 pounds and I am guessed to be between 10 and 15 pounds as an adult! I have beautiful, long, curly white hair, and the cutest little attitude to deal with it! I am fostered with cats, kids, and other dogs, and small kids at that, dogs of all sizes and I am the happiest little fellow you will ever meet. I do have quite a bit of puppy energy and I absolutely love to play whether it be with a toy or the other dogs in the house! I will likely need a Winston area for my potty time that way I am not exposed to any danger, but I will also need another friendly dog in the home for me to play with, I absolutely love other dogs! I am very happy and sweet and very forward friendly. I absolutely love to be loved Dawn! My foster mom holds me like a little baby, I am all the time! I am working hard on my house training in my crate training, but of course that will be something that my forever family will continue working on me with! Hello everyone! My name is Anne! I am a 12 to 13 week old Maltese poodle mix! I currently weigh about three whole pounds, I am extremely small! What I lack in size I make up for in my very sweet vibrant attitude! When I got to my foster house, I started off kind of shy in a little reserve, and I really just wanted to follow the other dogs around, but after a week I am opening up and I am actually somewhat of a little spitfire! In my forever home, I will need likely a fenced yard or small area where I will not be able to run free or possibly get hurt by any other animals in the neighborhood, because I am so small. I will also need a home free of extremely large dogs. I am fostered with large dogs and I do well with them, but I do not understand my size and I tend to get stepped on lol. I am working very hard on potty training, and create training and doing well but obviously with me being a baby I will need my family to continue training me and be patient with me while I learn! I am fostered with cats, kids, and other dogs, small kids at that, and I am just an excellently behaved little love bug with everybody and everything!
