Story
Hi I'm King a sweet happy young boy at 1 years of age! I would really love a home with another dog! I came in with an 8# dog and he gave me all of my confidence. Seriously! I was very shy to meet some of the staff at first but as soon as I saw my little buddy was cool with them, I was so happy go lucky and now we're best friends! However, my shelter staff can't adopt me, and my little pal has already found a home so I need a new friend. I am definitely a follower and will do whatever the other dog in the home is doing. I'm such a good boy who loves car rides. When you first meet me I will be a little shy, but if you want to see me shine bring in your K-9 companion to help show me the ropes! I did leave on a trial adoption for almost two weeks that, unfortunately, did not work out in my favor. I was a little hesitant to warm up to the man in the home, but I eventually did! I did well with their 6 year old child. I was housetrained, except I did have a couple of poop accidents when they would leave me by myself. I was still adjusting to their home so please don't blame me too much. They did not crate me when they left, so while I did not destroy anything, crate training me will still be a good idea, especially while I am adjusting to your home (so I don't have accidents)! My trial adopters even took me for a good grooming and it took me a little bit to warm up to the groomer, I am rocking a new haircut now!Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! If not, stop by the shelter at 1048 S 325 E in Pierceton, IN 46562 to look at me! No appointments necessary!

Good with dogs,
Story
We have four 3 month old Poogle puppies. There are 2 females and 2 males. Their mom is a 30 lb Beagle. Their dad is a 55 lb Standard Poodle. The puppies currently weigh between 14 and 20 lbs. These puppies are very submissive, gentle, and friendly. They love being held and handled and are already showing us how sweet and people oriented they are. Their coats are soft and wavy with little flyaway strands. They will need regular grooming as they grow. Adoption Requirements • A fenced in backyard. No invisible fences. If your condo or HOA does not allow fencing, we may consider your application case by case. • An adult who is home during the day and able to provide the time, supervision, and companionship a puppy needs. • No crating for puppies. Adopters must use a puppy playpen. We will share recommended options once your application is approved • Children in the home must be 7 years or older. Younger children may be considered if they have grown up with a dog. • Homes with no dogs or a one dog household will be considered. No multi dog households. A deposit is required to place a hold on a puppy once your application is approved. We take a deposit because preparing puppies for adoption requires coordination with multiple foster homes, arranging schedules, and making sure each puppy is ready for its appointment. When someone cancels at the last minute, it affects our foster families, our volunteers, and other approved adopters who were waiting for a chance to meet that puppy. The deposit shows that you are committed to attending your scheduled appointment. We do not offer separate meet and greets for puppies. Your appointment will serve as both your meet and greet and your adoption day. If you decide not to adopt after meeting the puppy, your deposit will be refunded. All puppies are vet checked, vaccinated, dewormed, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and have received heartworm and flea preventatives. The adoption fee is 500 dollars. Once your application is approved, a 50 dollar deposit can be placed to hold your puppy until adoption day. To adopt, please complete an online application on our website by clicking the Adopt button under the puppy photo. www.indianasaveadog.com ##2651189##

Story
Annabelle is a 6- year old St. Bernard-Poodle mix adopted as a puppy from a breeder. She has lived with our family her entire life and has been raised around cats, other dogs, and children. She is a mix of high energy and lazy bones. She loves walks and sleeping (snoring) on the couch as she believes she is a lap dog. She has been through obedience training, but requires a firm hand as her high energy sometimes leads her into trouble. As a big girl she can escape regular crates and chain link fences, so she would require either a large country lot or 6’ fenced yard.we are rehoming her due to issues with her size and our youngest who has cerebral palsy and autism. She is much loved and we are looking for a family who can spoil her rotten while also keeping her out of any real mischief!
