Story
Meet Max de Fluff! Max is a 1-year-old, 48-pound Doodle is a big, goofy, bundle of puppy energy. He’s sweet, social, and wonderfully gangly — the kind of dog who keeps you smiling.Max does like to play with other dogs but does not understand that other dogs will need breaks too. He can be a rough player with other dogs and will like to play with the legs of other fur playmates. Max`s playstyle can be annoying to some dogs, so proper introductions would be best to make sure that he listens to others when they correct him, as well as making sure that it is the right fit for everyone. He has not had the opportunity to meet with children, but older children may be best as he does like to play rough with people too, as he likes to think that everything is a toy (i.e. hands, arms, etc.). When he starts to play too rough with people, he would do best having a break/time out in his kennel where he can take a nap, in order to not get too overstimulated.Max is still continuing his training with pottying outside as well as crate training, which he is doing well with. If he gets the opportunity to potty before going into the crate, he will sleep through the night, but if he doesn`t go potty, he may have to make a pit stop in the middle of the night. Otherwise, he settles well in his crate once he can see his people. He eats in his kennel and has been taught so stay seated when opening the door to come out, so he doesn`t rush out once done. Since Max is also very treat motivated, continuing both crate training and basic manners would benefit him greatly, as he is very smart and loves to have something to do or focus on. Max would love a home that is willing to work with him on learning manners with patience and consistency. While Max loves to go on walks, he doesn`t usually go potty on leash as he does get easily distracted by things going on around him. He does have a pretty strong drive to chase after vehicles as well as climb chain-link fences, so a 6-foot physical privacy fence would be best. This way he is able to work on not only getting out his energy out, but where he can also focus on where to potty when outside. He’d love a playful dog sibling to help burn off his enthusiasm, but it is not a requirement. If you’re looking for a joyful, energetic, curious companion who’s eager to learn and even more eager to love, Max de Fluff is ready to meet you!
