Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This adorable and well mannered girl has made such unbelievable strides since she came to live with her foster family.  When we first met her she was shy and terrified, after all she and her sister had been dumped and had spent many weeks on the run before finally being caught by kind strangers.  Kennedy and her sister Hennessy spent some time after intake decompressing and learning to trust, we took care of their medical needs and moved them into separate foster homes to work on getting each dog adoption ready. Kennedy has acclimated and blossomed in her foster home in such a short amount of time.  She’s learned to enjoy the comforts of a home and welcome the attention of her people.  She does beautifully in her crate at night. It takes a little urging (and a slight push) to get her in but she is quiet all night and has never messed in her crate.  Other than the first week, she’s had  no potty accidents in the house.  She loves to run outside (she really needs a fenced yard both for her safety and for her enjoyment), enjoys the snow, and walks politely on a leash.  She literally gives you hugs.  She does well with every child and dog she’s ever met. She likes slow calm introductions with new people.  Unknown about cats but we think she’d be fine as she’s so calm and gentle.  She would be a great walking companion and also a good buddy for watching movies on your couch.    Kennedy’s adoption fee is $350 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations and heartworm testing, plus a free basic training course at Cedar Run Company in Hiawatha. Kennedy is seeking an indoor only home with a physically fenced in yard, if you would like to meet her please submit an adoption application for consideration through our website! Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, altered and kept current on vaccinations and preventatives. Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 2, 2023, 2:27 pm

If you have ANY QUESTIONS or are truly interested in adopting any animal from PAW Animal Shelter Please, fillout an adoption application FIRST!   WE are a high intake No Kill Shelter ran by a staff of 4 and do not always have time to answer every question asked by so many. If you are a good fit for the animal you are interested in -we will call to speak with you, If we feel you are not a good fit , we will contact you about other pets that may be a good fit for your home. Many people are losing the opportunity to adopt the animal they want because they fail to put in an application and the pet was adopted before we could answer your email. .If you have applied for an animal in our facility and have not received a response within 7 days, PLEASE call or contact us again. Though we do our best in trying to answer all emails in a timely manner, sometimes things get away from us, get lost or misplaced. It is never our intention to ignore a request about an adoptable animal in our facility. Sandy Brown, Director, PAW Animal Shelter 319-372-2274 ##1859216##

We’ll share updates as we learn more about their personality and furever needs! The suggested adoption donation for Navy is $465, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals.  In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $390,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.  Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.  To learn about Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc. ##1874988##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Luna, or Lulu, as she's affectionately called by her foster family, is looking for the perfect family to help her gain more confidence and reach her full potential. When Lulu first came to Last Hope, she was unsure of a lot of things. But she's quickly learning how to be a family member and all sorts of new things! One of her favorite new experiences is cuddling on the couch. She still gets a little too excited when she's first invited up, trying to climb on top of whoever invited her instead of cuddling beside. But she's starting to figure out she can relax once she settles in. Lulu has done amazing with the other dogs in her foster home, making friends quickly. She's even tried doggy daycare! She would do best in a home with another young, confident dog to help show her the ropes. She's done well around cats; she may be a little bit afraid of them still. Luna does require a home with a physical fence. Luna's adoption fee is $300 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations, preventatives, and snap testing.  If you would like to meet Luna, please submit an adoption application on Adopthope.org!  Luna is seeking an indoor only home.  Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having kept their pets altered, current on vaccinations and preventatives, and as indoor pets only.  Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 2, 2023, 2:27 pm
