Story
Chad is a super friendly pup from the Crazy Day Litter, born in June 2025.  He gets along with dogs, cats, strangers and kids.  He does pretty well on a leash with a harness - he would LOVE to be with someone who takes him on a daily walk.   Chad knows some commands - sit, shake and how to lie down.  He does well if he's focused.  Chad is vocal when he's trying to communicate and has a very deep bark.  He doesn't like to be alone and he tends to bark louder if he's outside by himself.  Chad will be right back at the door to come in after he goes outside alone. The perfect home for Chad will have a fenced yard.  He would be okay with kids, but they should be older (age 6+) due to his size and energy.  He might thrive with a puppy playmate that can match his energy.  He gets overly excited sometimes. Chad will need someone committed to help with potty training.  He doesn't like to be kenneled, but will need to be until he is completely house trained. Chad is such a sweet boy and just needs a family with time to devote to his ongoing training.  He's still a young guy and is adjusting to being left alone in the house.  He'll also benefit from someone having at home most of the time - at least until he has everything figured out!   The Rottweiler Poodle mix is a highly intelligent dog that is great for families with children. The Rottle is a superior protector who is loyal to their family and eager to please. The Rottle is generally undemanding and family-orientated.   The suggested adoption donation for each puppy is $575, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process:  All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note:  We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. To learn about Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc.   If the dog or cat you adopt is older than 6 months of age and not spayed or neutered, you will receive a voucher to alter the pet at Val Verde Animal Hospital in Omaha, at no cost to you.  Or you can alter the pet at your own vet and be reimbursed $100 for dogs, and $50 for cats, of total cost.  If the dog or cat is younger than 6 months of age, adopter will be responsible for the cost of altering the pet at the vet of their choice.  If proof of alter is received by Muddy Paws prior to the pet turning 6 months of age, a reimbursement of $100 for dogs and $50 for cats, will be sent to you to help cover expenses.  [Muddy Paws can also suggest a vet with a reduced cost for alters.]  All puppies and kittens MUST be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age.  All dogs and cats MUST be spayed or neutered no later than one month after adoption is finalized.  Thank you in advance for your compliance. ##2486521##

Story
THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED WHEN THE DOG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. INQUIRIES ABOUT THE ADOPTION STATUS WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Meet Missy, an aging punk with a mohawk who has no respect for authority, errr off leash rules. Missy is a senior Chihuahua mix who sports some fancy hair due to possible Poodle ancestry. She’s got Terrier brains and attitude to boot. She’s spry, agile, and has a verticle jump of a few feet so maybe there is a bit of bunny in there?Unfortunately, she must have some Greyhound a few generations back because she loves to run! It’s not cute or fun when she does it through the neighborhood off leash, so she needs a securely fenced yard and must be on a leash at all times when outside of her yard. At eleven years young, Missy is full of sass, snuggles, and speed. She would thrive in an home with someone who can walk her around the block daily, snuggle her nightly, give her snackies and tell her she’s a good girl. She told us she’d really like you to hold her while watching your shows after dinner. She especially likes to tuck her head under your chin. Do think you can grant her wish? If so, apply today. Please note: Missy should have been named Dora the Explorer because she LOVES to run and is a professional escape artist. Securely, and we mean Ft Knox, fenced yard is a firm requirement or else someone dedicated to leash walking her for potty breaks and exercise. The suggested adoption donation for Missy is a minimum of $300 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". All of our dogs that come from a commercial breeding facility require a securely fenced yard AND a resident companion dog, unless the dog's bio states otherwise. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment. Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information
