Story
Athena Rose was born around April 1, 2018 and weighs about 55 pounds.  Athena is a wonderful, level-headed girl who knows what it means to be loved. She comes to us from a happy home but sadly lost her family due to their declining health. Now, she is looking for someone to make her the center of their world. Athena Rose is a dream to handle—she walks beautifully on a leash and is an excellent travel companion who absolutely loves car rides. She gets along well with other dogs and has been fine with children as young as 10.  Athena has too much interest in cats to live with any comfortably.  She knows to potty quickly and then is ready to come back in.  There was a time she lived in the city of Chicago and then the burbs of Rochester.  Athena has been a very healthy girl.  If you are looking for a devoted companion that could accompany you anywhere she is used to being a cherished family member. The Adoption Fee for this dog is $600.00. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Okay, GRACIE does not look too beautiful in these pictures but she is in person and her soul is really beautiful.  GRACIE is a wonderful dog who I rescued from the streets of San Antonio, TX.  She had been hanging out at a bank, just sitting there waiting for someone to rescue her.  She was so happy to be saved.  She is for sure a very loyal and loving dog. I am going to try to groom her this weekend and get better pictures of her but she is an all black dog and those pictures are hard to take and to make them clear.  Her coat is wavy/curly and she does allow you to groom her and she takes a good bath.  GRACIE is a poodle/terrier mix who is 3 years old and 51 pounds. GRACIE's main purpose in life is to play.  She would do best in a home with another dog as a playmate.  For sure she would occupy that dog's time and energy!  GRACIE plays, eats and sleeps to get ready to play again.  She deserves a second chance at having a loving home.  I wish I knew why she was tossed away on the streets because she is such a good girl and I have no problems out of her. She loves to go on walks or do anything that involves receiving love.  She is really a pets pet and will not bother you around the house.  I have on good thoughts and great things to say about her. If you are interested in adopted GRACIE, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.
