Turk is sweet, lovable 4 year old dog(111 lbs) who believes he's a lap dog. Turk is a Saint Berdoodle that we purchased from a local breeder. He is affectionate and loyal once he feels comfortable and gets to know you. Turk has a timid personality, especially around new people. He does best in a calm, lower activity home, as a lot of activity or unfamiliar people can make him nervous. He prefers not to have strangers approach him right away. A few things about Turk: Turk is neutered and microchipped, Completely house trained, crate trained, sweet and loving, listens well to commands, trained with an electronic collar and accustomed to an electric fence; he has always respected the fence boundary, does best with a predictable routine and quieter environment, needs patience meeting new people.Looking for a home that has a yard, calm environment, patience and stability and someone that understands his personality. He is good with other dogs.

Tina, born 4/18/21, is bernedoodle. She is a very sweet retired mill mom. She does well with other dogs, cats and children. Tina is participating in the cell dog program which is where the dog stays at the prison with a dog handler working on basic obedience and house, crate, and leash training. The adoption fee covers the spay, microchip with lifetime registration, vaccinations (which include DHLPPC, Lyme, Bordetella & Rabies) dewormings and heartworm/lyme testing. I adopted Oscar in March 2023 from Save A Shepherd rescue. He was 9 months old when I got him, and he had been in a prison training program so had a good start on basic manners. He is quite an energetic dog, and I have learned in the past several months that he doesn't like other dogs. He does, however, love kids and people. He's very sweet, loyal and energetic. I live in town and don't have a fenced in yard. I feel bad that he is not getting the exercise and playing that he needs, especially because I'm not confident to take him where other dogs may be. I would love to see him with a young man who would be strong and able to care well for him.

Story
Oscar is a sweet, comical and energetic young man who is loyal and loves kids. I acquired him from a rescue shelter when he was 9 months old after he had been in a prison training program where he learned basic manners and some tricks. Unfortunately, I am not able to provide him with the attention he needs and deserves. He's basically well behaved; I'm a bit older and simply don't have energy for him. I've also become busy with grandkids and a part-time job. The only problem with Oscar is that he doesn't seem to like other dogs and actually attacked my neighbor's dog once 2 years ago, which broke my heart. He didn't do any damage and maybe was just playing rough, but I'm really not sure No matter what, he's a sweet boy and is a lot of fun.
