Meet Chewbacca ("Chewy")! With his shaggy coat, soulful eyes, and unmistakable teddy bear appearance, it's easy to see how this handsome doodle earned the name Chewbacca—Chewy for short!Chewy is believed to be around 7 years old and appears to be a standard-sized Goldendoodle-type mix weighing about 55 pounds. While his past is a bit of a mystery, one thing is clear: this sweet boy is ready to leave his wandering days behind him and find a place to call home.  When Chewy first arrived in rescue, he was understandably overwhelmed. After spending time fending for himself, he seemed almost amazed to discover soft dog beds, regular meals, and people looking out for him. Before long, he settled in and began showing everyone what a special dog he is.Chewy enjoys spending time with people and has done well settling into the routine of rescue life. He has been clean in his kennel, enjoys attention from his favorite humans, and seems to appreciate the comfort and security that come with having his needs met.Like many dogs who have experienced uncertainty, Chewy may benefit from a patient family willing to give him time to settle into new surroundings and build trust at his own pace.
