Story
Bailey was born 1/7/26. He is approximately 40 pounds. My sister moved in with us due to the horrific living conditions that she was in. She came with 3 dogs. 1 standard poodle & the 2 puppies. The father is a standard poodle & the mother is a lab mix. The 2 puppies, Bailey & Sargent, will be large dogs & are crate trained. They are are partially house trained. We need to re-home the puppies. We already have 3 very small dogs & my Chihuahua definitely does not like them. They are too big & too active. My dogs are 16/17 & live a quiet sedentary life. Please, if you would like an active large puppy, Bailey is for you. They are just too much, too active and having 6 dogs in the house is too many.

The father is a standard poodle and the mother is a lab mix. He was born 1/7/2026 & at this point weighs approximately 40 pounds. They definitely do not do well with cats. I already have 3 dogs, all really small. My Chihuahua does not like them. They are too much for me and them. My dogs are 16/17 and have lived a quiet sedentary life. The puppies are just too much for us to handle & my sister does not have the mental capacity to care for them. I cannot handle her 3 and my 3, 6 dogs are just way too much. Please, if you would like a large active puppy, he is for you.

Story
I adopted Oscar in March 2023 from Save A Shepherd rescue. He was 9 months old when I got him, and he had been in a prison training program so had a good start on basic manners. He is quite an energetic dog, and I have learned in the past several months that he doesn't like other dogs. He does, however, love kids and people. He's very sweet, loyal and energetic. I live in town and don't have a fenced in yard. I feel bad that he is not getting the exercise and playing that he needs, especially because I'm not confident to take him where other dogs may be. I would love to see him with a young man who would be strong and able to care well for him.

Story
Ralph may be a senior guy estimated to be 10-12 years old (don’t tell him that), but he still struts through the yard like he owns the place! This sweet Velcro pup is 40-50 pounds, loves being outside, soaking up head scratches, riding in the car, and stopping for an ice cream date with his favorite humans. His orthopedic bed is one of his prized possessions, right up there with spending time beside his people.Ralph does have some age related quirks. His hearing and eyesight aren’t what they used to be. He has to wear belly bands due to accidents and he may occasionally lose his balance, but he still enjoys life to the fullest. Since he only has a few teeth left, he’ll need soft food and treats (which honestly just means extra spoiled). His mouth will also need a recheck in about a year.Around other animals, Ralph is dog and cat friendly! Ralph can get a little grumbly over food and treats, but he has never acted on it. He just appreciates having his snacks respected like the distinguished gentleman he is.What Ralph truly wants is simple: a loving home, comfy naps, belly rubs, fresh air, and humans to adore where he can spend however much time he has leftIf you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Ralph is ready to be your best friend. If interested in adopting Ralph, please fill out an application found at www.allaboutthepawz.comLocated in Youngstown, Ohio - must be within an hour or so of Youngstown.

Story
Say hello to Fozzie Bear (aka Fuzz Bucket or FB), a fuzzy half sheep, half muppet dog who’s 95 percent the sweetest boy and 5 percent a spicy little turd. Fozzie is about 8.5 years old and around 10 pounds, and we think he’s probably a Poodle mix of some kind (maybe Poodle-Shih Tzu?). He came into rescue after his owner passed away. Fozzie is mostly a typical dog who loves to go on walks and play with toys. He enjoys running around in the yard, but a home without a fenced yard wouldn’t be a deal-breaker as long as he got enough on-leash time outside. He seems to be fully house trained and hasn’t had a single accident in his foster home. What he needs more than anything is a home with patience. Fozzie’s biggest challenge is that he’s got some guarding behaviors, so he can get a little snippy under specific circumstances, like when he’s laying next to one person on the couch, and another person tries to pet him or get him off the couch. His evil twin also sometimes shows up at the groomer or the vet, and occasionally around food if other dogs enter his personal space. His little outbursts are relatively few and far between as long as he stays on his medications (fluoxetine and trazodone), and outside of the occasional tiff with the house dogs, he’s done pretty well with all of them. He desperately wants to be friends with the house Chihuahua, but she’s also a bit of a turd and so that hasn’t worked out so well for Fozzie. She’s toothless and still manages to boss him around somehow. Despite his imperfections, Fozzie is a wonderful little dog with a ton of love to give. Here’s what we think he needs in a new home to be successful: - An adult-only home. We think children won’t have the maturity to understand that dogs are allowed to have boundaries, too. - A home where someone is around most of the time. Fozzie can be an insecure little fella, and being alone too long stresses him out. He’s never been destructive in any way, even with run of the house, but he’s not the kind of dog who would be happy or comfortable being home alone for 8 or 10 hours several days a week. - A home with dog experience that is willing to work with and around his quirks. Fozzie and his previous owner worked very successfully with a trainer, so he’s definitely trainable. His foster mom and dad have found him totally manageable! - A home without other dogs OR with other dogs his size. We could see his mouth writing checks his butt can’t cash with larger dogs. If there are other dogs in the home, intros should be slow, and ideally, he could be kept somewhere separate while the humans are away just in case. If you love cute, curly little dogs and are ready for the most rewarding challenge ever, Fozzie Bear is your man! ———————————————————- The adoption donation for Fozzie Bear is $250. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention (age appropriate). If you would like to meet this dog, you must have an approved application on file and be willing to travel to the Mahoning County/Columbiana County, Ohio area for a meet and greet. All of our dogs reside in foster homes. We do not have a physical shelter. Applications will be reviewed/approved and each dog will be placed in the home that can best meet their individual need. If you live in a residence with a Homeowner’s Association (HOA) please make sure you check that the dog you are interested in does not violate size or breed restrictions.
