Story
TILLSONBURG, ON - Bogart is a small Standard Poodle, about 7-8 years old, who is just beginning to discover what it means to be a dog. Before coming into SPIN’s care, Bogart lived in a commercial breeding facility. His world was a barn and a stall, and his purpose was to produce puppies. He didn't grow up in a home, go for walks, meet people at the door, ride in a car, curl up on a couch or learn all the ordinary things that make up a dog's life. So when Bogart arrived in foster care, he had a lot of catching up to do. He is still timid. A sudden movement or unfamiliar noise can startle him, and new people can be overwhelming, but he has been learning. Underneath that cautious exterior is a very sweet boy who is curious, gentle and trying hard to figure out this big, new world. His foster mom says that sometimes he is braver than others. We think that's an important part of Bogart's story. Progress isn't always a straight line. Some days he takes a big step forward, and other days he needs a little more reassurance. That's okay. Bogart has spent his whole life knowing very little about the world. Now he gets the chance to learn what life can be.

Story
Hi, I’m Kenna! 🐾💗I was named Kenna after hockey player Gavin McKenna, and just like my first round draft pick namesake, I’m pretty special! 😉I’m an 8-year-old Mini Goldendoodle mama who has spent much of my life doing what puppy-mill mamas do. But now? I’m ready for the part of my story where I get to be spoiled!I absolutely LOVE EVERYTHING! People? Love them. Dogs? Love them. Attention? LOVE IT! Cozy beds, treats, exploring, cuddles, being near my people… sign me up for all of it! Pizza crust and dried liver treats are my favorite, but since I'm still working on my figure, foster mom says those are just in moderation. I am especially fond of my humans and can be quite the little shadow. If you’re moving, I’m following. If you sit down, I’m sitting nearby. If you’re having a cuddle, I’ll happily make myself available. 😂❤️ I’m a very clingy girl, but after everything I’ve been through, I think I’ve earned the right to make up for lost time! I can always be found right at foster mom's feet. I’m still learning about the world and what it means to be a beloved family dog. I may need a little patience while I figure out all the things that come naturally to other dogs, but I’m eager to learn and absolutely thrilled to experience my new life. I walk SO well on a leash, even the smallest human in the house can walk me to school! I promise not to jump up on your bed or couch, I'm happy with a folded up blanket, just let me sit at your feet and gaze up at you with love. Foster mom says its a little "stage 4 clingy" but its just how I show my affection ❣️ At 8 years old, I know exactly what I want: a forever family who will love me, keep me safe, and let me be their little shadow. I've spent enough time taking care of everyone else. Now it’s Kenna’s turn to be loved. 💕🐾*located in Angus

Story
coming soon not yet available for adoption🐾 Well hello there… I’m Brantley! 💙I’m a pretty cute little guy whose world has been turned upside down over the past year. I lost my person, and while my next family did their very best for me, my health needs became a little more than they could manage. So here I am — reporting for my rescue makeover! 😂First on the list? My very, very, VERY itchy skin. 😩 I’ve also got a neuter in my future and apparently my teeth could use a little attention too. Honestly, the list feels slightly excessive for a guy this handsome. 😉But once we get me healthy and feeling like myself again… look out!I’ve got lots of love left to give, and somewhere out there is a very lucky person who is going to be awfully happy I landed in rescue. 💙🐾
