Meet Nittany! Nittany found herself in the shelter when both her parents went back to work and she was not getting the exercise and care she needs. She is a 53-lb. Goldendoodle and 8 and 1/2 years young. Nittany is trying to get used to the shelter routine. She walks well on a leash overall; she does have a little pull at first but then settles and enjoys her time with you. She is sweet and has been around kids as young as 5 years old. Nittany hasn't been around big dogs or cats but has been around little dogs and did fine with them. She was trusted to be free roaming in the home while her parents worked and knows sit, stop, stay, heel, and no. Nittany does have a history of urinary tract infections and currently is on crananidin to see if this helps to support her urinary tract health. She has an upcoming surgery that will attempt to reduce the frequency of UTIs. Even after surgery, regular monitoring with your vet as well as regular sanitary grooming  would be necessary to keep her healthy.  We are currently seeking a foster with intent to adopt (adoption could be completed following the surgery).   Marley Girl is a happy, outgoing  8 year old Aussie Doodle with a heart full of love and lots of years and life left to share. This young senior girl is looking for a new home through no fault of her own because her natural herding instincts have taken over and she is chasing the chickens at her former home.  Apparently eggs are more important than sweet Marley.   This girl at 8 years is not too big and just 45 pounds and has lived with another dog during her life and also cats.  Chickens are different for dogs and so she is looking for a new place to live.  Marley is is fully house trained and potty trained, She loves riding in a car and enjoys watching the scenery go by as she rides shotgun. While Marley has a few years behind her she has so many more ahead of her. For an application go to Rpacirescue.org. RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England area and delivered in Pennsylvania and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. She also does well with other dogs and enjoys having furry friends to keep her company and share in her puppy adventures. Like any young pup, Opal is still learning about the world and will need a family willing to give her the patience, guidance, and love she needs as she grows. But if you're looking for a fun-loving companion who will happily become your best friend, Opal could be your girl! She has so much love to give and is ready to find the family who will love her for all the years ahead.
