They thankfully made their way to rescue so they could find loving homes and stay out of the wrong hands. While they still have a lot to learn, progress is being made with their manners. Gaining confidence is their number one goal, however, so we will be looking for homes with a resident dog for them to learn from. These babies weren’t given everything they needed as young pups, so the extra guidance is necessary for their development and training. Lindsey and Christine have been nothing but sweet, and love to be where their people are. Finding families with someone home often and big, grassy yards will benefit them greatly. We cannot wait to watch these raggamuffins blossom into the devoted companions they are destined to be!!All our pets are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting? Emma Jean is a 4-year-old doodle girl—possibly a standard poodle mix with some red & white setter flair—who’s equal parts classy lady and goofy bestie. She weighs about 60 lbs, with a few more pounds still to gain. She lives for balls, adores cuddles, and yes… she burps like a dude and has zero shame about it. Emma Jean rides great in the car and doesn’t mind cold weather or snow one bit, so winter walks are very much her thing. She is housetrained and not desctructive in the home. She’s great with cats and kids, and would do best with a submissive dog playmate who’s happy to let her take the lead. Speaking of leading—Emma Jean knows her commands (sit, down, roll over, give paw and both paws!) and patiently sits and waits for her meals. On walks, she may even grab the leash and walk you just to keep things fair. Emma Jean is up to date on vaccinations and is currently healing beautifully from an intestinal surgery. She need to return to the rescue in a few months for her spay. If you’re looking for a smart, affectionate, slightly ridiculous dog with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Emma Jean might just be your perfect match. Meet Dolly. Please read what her foster mom has to say about this special girl.Dolly is a 3 1/2 yo 46 lb standard poodle rescued from a commercial breeding kennel by Logan’s. Dolly is a typical mill dog; any unfamiliar noise frightens her, and she bolts. We are slowly making progress. She spends a lot of time in her crate despite the door being open. Yesterday was the first time she came into the kitchen with us and lay on the dog bed. She is very sweet and wants to trust, but she is just uncertain. I can't imagine what she had to live through. She especially gets scared when I put her leash on. I don't have a fenced-in yard, so I have no choice but feel a secure fenced yard would be best for her. A person who understands that it will take love and patience would be great and if has puppy mill experience that would help so much.Dolly is in our home with 2 larger poodles but we feel she will do better with smaller dog(s) in a home as appears to like them better.She knows we wait and do not bolt out the door and stop when we come inside. She keeps her crate clean and is doing really well with potty training having only 2 accidents right at the beginning of her coming to me. Dolly is now spayed, up to date with vaccines and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $400.00.
