Story
Meet Noodle – the big, bouncy bundle of joy you didn’t know you were missing! Noodle is a fun-loving Doodle mix, around 4 years old, and extra-large in both size and personality. He came to us from animal control and is now soaking up the good life while he continues to put on some healthy weight and fill out a bit more. This happy guy is friendly, playful, and absolutely thrives on attention. If you’re looking for a dog who wants to be part of everything you do, Noodle is your noodle! He rides great in the car and genuinely enjoys the adventure. Noodle is good with other dogs, but he doesn't like cats. We haven't had him around kids, but given his sweet, goofy demeanor, we think he’d do best with older kids. He’s a big boy and could accidentally knock over a little one when he gets excited. Noodle is getting the hang of housetraining and making great progress. He knows “sit” and “lay down” but will need continued work on leash manners (he can pull) and general basic training. Being extremely food motivated makes training both fun and effective. A family committed to positive reinforcement and consistency will help him shine. With his wiry, curly coat, Noodle will require regular grooming to keep him comfortable and looking his best. He arrived with some yellow staining, but with continued whitening shampoo and proper coat care, his unique look will keep improving. Noodle would thrive in an active home ready for a large, affectionate companion who wants to play, learn, and love big. If you’re ready for a joyful, slightly goofy, oversized best friend — Noodle is ready for you. Adoption application can be found at this link: https://airtable.com/shrAznkHf1ruIqQwq

Story
Meet Lucy! Lucy is a 4-year-old, 55-pound Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Poodle mix who is equal parts loving companion and spirited adventurer. She's smart, affectionate, and protective of her humans. Lucy loves her people! She'll seek out ear scratches, lean into neck rubs, and rest her head on your lap while gazing up at you adoringly. When she's not soaking up affection, she's ready to hit the trails—Lucy thrives with daily walks or hikes and loves exploring the outdoors alongside her favorite humans. Lucy loves playing with her toys, chewing on rawhides and is beginning to appreciate a good game of fetch.  True to her retriever roots, Lucy has a strong prey drive and will happily chase any squirrel or rabbit that crosses her path. She's crate trained, fully house trained, and settles down nicely indoors after getting her exercise.   She's made impressive progress with leash walking recently and responds well to basic commands—with continued positive reinforcement, she has potential to grow more. Lucy currently knows "sit", "down", "hugs", "paw," and comes when called. She is working on mastering "stay", and with the right treats, she gets better every time!  Lucy's Ideal Home: - An active person or family who enjoys regular walks, hikes, or outdoor time - A home without other dogs or small pets                                     - A household without young children (she does well with older kids, around 9+)                                                           - Someone who appreciates a confident, independent dog and can provide consistent structure and trainingLucy is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and ready to find her forever person. If you're looking for a loyal, athletic, and affectionate companion with a bold personality, Lucy might be your perfect match.Available for adoption starting 5/11/2025 through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA | KL#16182 ##2380890##
