Story
Meet Poppy! Poppy was surrendered by her owner to another rescue and and then we were asked if we could take her in, so that’s how she came to us! Poppy is a Poodle mix with the more wavy fur. She was born around May 2025 and currently weighs 35 pounds. She has been fully vetted and is ready to find her FURever family. She has been good in the house and seems kennel trained, but always expected accidents during the transition period. She seems to have been mistreated at some point because she can be “hand shy” however, once she realizes you mean no harm, she comes around. She definitely prefers and will need another dog to play with! That seemed to help her come out of shell pretty quick. Calm kids should be fine. She loves playing and running in the fenced yard with her other dog friends here! So she definitely needs a fence to play/potty in (not to live in) too. I will say car rides are definitely not a favorite of hers and she tends to drool while in the car. I am hoping with time, she will feel better about car rides, just bring some towels. lol The adoption fee is $375 Which covers spay/neuter, shots, microchip, heartworm test, grooming (if needed), deworming, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and supplies while in our care. The pet MUST be kept on heartworm prevention all of their life. *PLEASE NOTE* Some of the FURkids may have a higher fee than others, to help balance the costs to cover other FURkids needs as well. To apply to adopt go to our website www.fureverfurkids.com *We do home checks (either in person or virtual) for each pet before approving an adoption. Home owners and those a fenced in yard are always given preference.* The application is to be completed prior to meeting the pet(s) you are interested in adopting. If they are still on the page, they are still more than likely still available. Once a pet is adopted from our rescue, they MUST be returned to us, if you cannot keep them. If you plan on not keeping them their whole lives, please do not apply. Thank you for looking at our rescues in need of amazing homes!

Apply for this sweet boy today, you'll not regret it.My adoption fee is $325To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved.
