Story
MEET BISHOP — PLEASE READ PAST THE PRETTY FACE! We know what happens when a gorgeous pup like Bishop comes into rescue… Applications start flying! But Bishop needs more than someone who falls in love with his looks. He needs a family who is the right fit for HIM. Bishop came to us through no fault of his own. At just 10 months old and around 45–50 lbs, he was simply more puppy energy than his previous family was prepared for.And when we say puppy energy… we mean HIGH puppy energy. Bishop is a big, goofy puppy who hasn’t quite figured out that he’s a big boy yet. He can play rough, get excited, and sometimes forget just how much dog he is!Because of that, Bishop will require: A fenced yard where he can safely run and burn off that energy No small children — not because he isn’t sweet, but because he doesn’t realize his size and could easily knock a little one over A family with an active lifestyle who is ready to continue his training and help him learn how to be the very best boyBishop is sweet, loving, playful and full of potential. He just needs a home that understands that adopting a young, large, energetic puppy means putting in the time to help him learn, grow and thrive. He’s definitely handsome… but the right family for Bishop will be the one who wants everything that comes with that handsome face, too. Story
Dwight was never socialized by the original owner because she had to hide him from her landlord for 4 years because she wasn't supposed to have him then she was caught out and had to turn him into us before she got served with eviction papers. He was terrified at first because he had absolutely never been around anyone but now, though he can be a little timid at first, he has become very social, very friendly, a loving little guy at around 30 lb and likes to be around other dogs, was raised with kids so he's fine with most of them as long as they are really small. Dwight's ideal Home would be with someone who is a stay-at-home, with or without kids, with or without another dog, where he would get lots of attention, lots of love, he would be fine as an apartment dog as long as he got to go out when he needed to (he will go to the door and stare at you when he needs to go potty). He will make someone a perfect little companion but he needs a perfect Mom. (He's okay with men now, though he is used to having a Mom).He is fully vetted, neutered, on heartworm prevention and if you have other dogs, all of yours must be fully vetted and on heartworm prevention also and you must have a vet reference on your application for me to check. His adoption fee is $300 and you may apply online at Madisonarf.org

Story
Meet Ray Ray 💕 Ray Ray is a 1.5-year-old female with a one-of-a-kind mix—25% Aussie, 25% Poodle, and 50% German Shepherd (DNA verified!)—and an even more special personality to match. This sweet girl is absolutely obsessed with fetch—it’s her favorite thing in the world! she also loves to play in water and be sprayed with the water hose. If you’re looking for a playful, engaging companion who will accompany you on all of your adventures and keep you entertained, Ray Ray is your girl. 🎾 Ray’s confidence has grown so much in foster care. She would do wonderfully with a friendly dog companion to help her continue building confidence and feeling secure. She does like to play herd and bark when playing with friends. While Ray Ray loves to be active, she also knows how to chill when it’s time. She such a love bug when she’s sleepy and snuggly! We absolutely love her Dobie ears and you can definitely read her mood based off where her ears are ❤️ We lovingly call her “Ears” because they are just that cute! She’s a loving, gentle dog who: ✔️ Is spayed, up to date on vaccines, HW negative & microchipped ✔️ Does well in the house and is crate trained ✔️ Sleeps happily in her own bed (or yours—with a little boost!) ✔️ Rides well in the car (just needs help hopping in!) Ray Ray needs a home with a secure fenced yard to safely enjoy her favorite outside activities. 🚫 No cats or livestock 📍 Local adoption only – North Alabama Ray Ray is incredibly sweet, loyal, and ready to bond deeply with her person. If you’re looking for a loving companion who is sure to bring a smile to your face, Ray Ray is your girl 💖 👉 Apply to adopt at FORrescue.net #FORrescue #FriendsofRescue #AdoptRayRay #RescueDog #HuntsvilleAL #AdoptDontShop #DogLovers #FetchObsessed #ShepherdMix #ForeverHome
