Story
At 16 years old, Sunshine Machine is the definition of a gentle old soul. With his soft curly coat, soulful eyes, and heart-melting cuddles, this poodle mix is a sweet reminder of how special senior dogs truly are. Sunshine has been diagnosed with Cushing's Disease, and while it's a serious condition, he's shown some signs of improvement since starting treatment. His lab work came back mostly normal, which gives us hope—but he’s still navigating some bumps in the road. His body is adjusting to medication, and while it’s helping with some symptoms (like frequent urination), it’s also caused some difficult side effects—nausea, vomiting, constipation, and a loss of appetite. Right now, Sunshine needs someone who can provide patient, loving care while he figures out what works best for his body. He is struggling with eating and may need to be force fed. It’s a delicate balance—but one filled with potential, if the right person can help him through this next stage of his journey. Despite it all, Sunshine Machine still lives up to his name. Once he’s comfortable, he loves short walks, gentle play, and curling up right next to you for a snuggle. He has so much love left to give—it just takes someone willing to slow down and walk alongside him.

Story
Woody wants to play all day, or be by your side when play isn’t an option. He wants to always be included in the fun and the conversation, and he will tell you so. He is jealous when others are not including him. Woody is very intelligent and loves training. He is also very athletic. He can leap across a sofa in one bound. We’re a busy home and we just don’t have the resources to provide the attention and energy that Woody would appreciate. Woody loves chew toys. Gnawing on a toy gives him considerable pleasure. He also enjoys sneaking around to find illicit things to swallow. And he will display ferocity when caught in the act and forced to give it up. This is an anomaly to his character as he always wants to be loved on and played with. He wears a muzzle when we can’t keep an eye on him. And he is crated when we need to leave him alone. Woody would be a devoted companion to someone that can be his all day buddy.

Story
Gus has displaced due to his prior owner's dementia. He had been with her since she got him as a puppy back in 2017. I am currently fostering this adorable little goofball and I must say I've never had a dog so absurdly happy to see me. About: * Great on a martingale leash while walking. Minor tugging for smells, but does not jump or bark at other dogs or people when passing. * Will sleep in his bed, kennel, or on the couch when things are quiet. Will bark at doorbell, but is otherwise very chill. * Will let you know when he needs to go to the bathroom. * Good in the car. Will quietly sit on a seat. * Very food motivated. Will take to training if consistent. Already knows where to wait and sit to have his leash put on to go outside. * I am able to bathe him easily without issue. Only a little afraid of the dryer. * Nervous in indoor public places like PetCo. Will bite groomer, vet. Needs to be muzzled. * Scared of new people but warms up fast.
