Story
Meet Gary – Your Future Cuddle Buddy! 🐾 Say hello to Gary, a charming two-year-old chocolate poodle with long legs and an even longer list of lovable qualities. This sweet boy is on the search for his forever home, and he’s ready to bring warmth, wagging tails, and plenty of cuddles into your life. Gary is an easygoing, chill guy who walks beautifully on a leash—perfect for strolls around the neighborhood or park. Whether you live in a house with a sunny yard or a cozy apartment, Gary will fit right in. He’s equally happy soaking up the sun outside or lounging on the couch, curled up beside you. With his gentle nature, Gary is a polite treat taker and a real people-lover—he’s always happy to make new friends. He enjoys gentle play with his toys and will never say no to lap time or a cuddle session (yes, even with those long legs!). Gary would thrive in a variety of homes: he could live happily as your one-and-only companion, or he’d do well with other friendly dogs too. He’s a great fit for a singleton looking for a best friend, or anyone who appreciates a laid-back, affectionate companion. If you’re looking for a dog who’s as happy on a walk as he is snuggled next to you during a movie, Gary might just be your perfect match. Come meet this handsome boy and let him win your heart! 🐶 Adopt Gary – Because every lap needs a poodle. ❤️ Application: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6872b9d82144417acf03537a Questions? Email Kathleen@threelittlepittiesrescue.org We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey!   You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!    The adoption fee is $1,600 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!    We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.    Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!    Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.   Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.    The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.   It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:   Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!   Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!   Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Story
Duke is a sweet and handsome 4 year old 50-pound Labradoodle with a heart full of love. He is currently working on gaining a few healthy pounds, and with a little TLC from his new family, he'll be feeling his best in no time. He is looking for a calm, supportive home environment to help him feel secure and loved.Duke has a medium to high energy level, meaning he is ready for adventures and play!Due to his past experiences, Duke can occasionally get a little anxious. While Duke might be a bit nervous when meeting new people, it doesn't take long for his loving personality to shine through! He warms up quickly and craves affection and attention. Dog-Friendly: Duke loves to play and is a social butterfly when it comes to his canine companions!‍‍‍ Kid-Friendly: He previously lived with children and got along great with them! Cat-Cautious: He is a bit 'excited' about cats, so a home without feline friends, or a family committed to careful, slow introductions, would be best.Duke is a smart boy who has some basics down:&#226&#156&#133 Housetrained&#226&#156&#133 Crate Trained&#226&#156&#133 Walks well on a leashHis Ideal HomeDuke needs a patient, loving family ready to welcome him into their hearts and help manage his anxiety with positive reinforcement. While he has great manners, he would benefit from some basic obedience training to boost his confidence and polish his skills. His energy level means he needs a family committed to daily exercise and mental stimulation! His gorgeous doodle coat is highly desirable, but please know it requires regular grooming to keep him looking and feeling his handsome best! Are you ready to give this sweet Labradoodle the comfortable, loving, and permanent home he deserves? Story
Meet Ruben Humphrey!Ruben Humphrey is a 10-year-old poodle / terrier mix (14 lbs) with white silky fur, a curly tail, and the spark of a dog half his age. He came to CAWS after being found as a stray at a local shelter, and he has wasted no time winning over every human he meets. Truly, this little guy has yet to find a person he doesn’t adore.Ruben is incredibly sweet and affectionate. The moment he spots his human, he jumps up hoping for cuddles and attention. He’s endlessly curious and loves exploring every corner of his world.Walks are pure joy for him. With his excited zig-zag trot, he encourages his human to pick up the pace and enjoy the adventure with him. His age may say “10,” but his energy says something much younger.Ruben is an independent guy who’s perfectly happy doing his own thing, but when he’s in the right mood, he enjoys interacting and playing with other dogs. He can sometimes come on a little strong at first, but he’s learned doggy boundaries and has been doing great with his foster siblings, big and small, as he practices polite play. He’d likely enjoy a well-matched canine companion who communicates clearly.Ruben does have some resource-guarding tendencies, particularly with food. He’ll thrive in a home that provides routine, structure, and an adopter who’s comfortable managing mealtimes and supporting healthy boundaries. He also is very weary of new people coming into his home. His foster mom holds him and helps soothe his nerves and then he’s ready to let a new human fall in love with him. Once he connects with a human he activates his Velcro mode. Ruben loves being near his people and is learning that his crate can be a cozy, safe hangout spot. He hasn’t been cat-tested yet.To meet this spry, snuggly little character, please fill out an application at www.caws.org/adoption-application.CAWS does not place animals on a first-come, first-served basis; we strive to find the perfect home for each animal.
