Story
Max is a 3-year-old schnauzer mix with the most adorable ears you’ve ever seen—seriously, they deserve their own fan club. He weighs around 25 pounds. Add in his short, slightly stout build and those irresistibly stubby legs, and you’ve got one seriously charming little gentleman. This young, proper gentleman may have been found as a stray, but he clearly didn’t forget his manners along the way. Max is the definition of polite. He waits patiently for his walks, then steps out with a charming little prance like he’s got somewhere important to be (because obviously, he does). He walks with purpose—but always with class. Back in his kennel, he keeps things tidy and calm, unfazed by the hustle and bustle of shelter life. Cool, collected, and just a little bit dapper. He’s a pretty chill guy overall, happy to take life as it comes. While his compatibility with kids, cats, and other dogs is still a mystery, Max has remained unbothered by the other dogs around him. As always, a meet and greet with any resident dog is required to make sure everyone’s tails keep wagging.Max’s handsome coat will need regular brushing and grooming to keep him looking his best—and trust us, he’s worth it.Max is available through our foster-to-adopt program, which means you can welcome him into your home while he completes his vetting with our shelter veterinarian. He will be vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm tested—ready to start his next chapter with you. He is already neutered. If you’re ready to meet this sweet gentleman and give him the loving home he deserves, please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and submit an online adoption application for Max. Max`s adoption fee is $200. Max is ready to trade in shelter life for cozy naps, gentle walks, and a forever family—could that be you?
