At around 3 years old, she has beautifully matured beyond the puppy stage while still keeping playful energy, curiosity, and love for companionship. As a Poodle / Schnauzer mix, Tazzy may show traits such as: Intelligence and emotional sensitivity Strong attachment to her people Playful but companion-focused energy Alertness and engagement A loving and social personality Poodle and Schnauzer mixes are often affectionate, highly intelligent companions who thrive with interaction, routine, and companionship. They also tend to enjoy mental stimulation and being involved in everyday activities with their families. Tazzy would thrive in a home that can provide: Daily companionship and interaction Structure and consistency Continued training and socialization Mental stimulation and enrichment Moderate daily exercise and walks A loving indoor environment She would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a sweet, intelligent, and affectionate dog. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from very different backgrounds. Some may have previously lived in homes, while others may have come from the streets, overcrowded shelters, neglect situations, or environments where they had little structure or guidance. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. Even dogs who appear calm and well-behaved in foster care or at the rescue are still adjusting and learning. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should expect to continue support and guidance after adoption. Tazzy will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Structure and consistency Continued socialization and engagement Mental stimulation and enrichment Patience during adjustment periods Daily companionship and routine Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, stability, and commitment, rescue dogs often blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes companionship, routine veterinary care, training, exercise, mental stimulation, and financial responsibility. Tazzy will need: Routine veterinary care and wellness exams Preventative care including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention Continued training and guidance Daily exercise and companionship Mental stimulation and enrichment A safe, stable, indoor living environment Because Tazzy is a Poodle mix, routine grooming and coat maintenance will also be important to help keep her comfortable and healthy. Consistent veterinary care, emotional stability, proper nutrition, and patience are all essential to helping Tazzy continue thriving in her future home. Tazzy is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside. Story
Scout is a ~1-year-old neutered terrier/schnauzer mix (medium size, approx. 57 lbs) located in Camas / Vancouver area.He is a smart, active young dog who has a lot of potential and does well when environment is calm and structured. He settles nicely on his own and in his crate once he is in (still have been working on getting him more comfortable going into it) enjoys toys, food enrichment (Kongs, lick mats, etc.), long sniffing walks, and can be affectionate - he loves a good belly rub! He rarely barks, and greets people nicely on walks. The reason we’re seeking a new home is that Scout has high energy and needs a calmer environment. He struggles with impulse control especially during transitions (potty trips, evenings, crate routine, us moving through the house) and needs structured rest time. Because we have young children and a busy household, we’re concerned our home may not be the best long-term fit for what he needs.
