Story
Marty is a sweet cat! He likes to be near his people, but be in his own space. He isn't a lap kitty, but he loves to get pets. He really loves to be outside but gets territorial with the neighbor cats. He has beautiful markings and is gorgeous laying about in his catnip bed...if not for everyone else on the block getting a male cat, I think he would be living his best life. Unfortunately, they are not getting along so we have been keeping him inside and he is really unhappy about it. After discovering my daughter is allergic, we have decided to see if someone has a better situation for him. He rings a bell at the door to let us know he wants to come in (he can use a cat door too). He has also done a great job of keeping mice out of the compost bin!

Story
I've had him since 2018 but there's never been a real bond there. I'm angry at myself for feeling this way. He's very clingy and is a cuddle bug. Pet him and give him treats and he'll be your best friend. My corgi annoys him and herds him but he's still good with her. Hoping to find someone willing to give him the love and attention he deserves.

Story
Ava was rescued from Aunts barn in Ava, Missouri as a 3mo old. We brought her back home in our van, which she loved! She is athletic, spunky, loving and prey driven. Very curious about everything going on in the household. I live in an environment where she must be an indoor cat. She is ok with leash, but, doesn’t enjoy the limitations of the situation with the harness and leash. Uses the litter box beautifully, however she is compelled to mark furniture and belongings on the floor. I feel that she would be happier in an indoor/outdoor or outdoor with a way to get out of weather and potential predators environment. She loves open spaces. This is difficult for me, but, I want the best for her and her spirit.

Story
This little cutie was given to us by an old roommate who couldn't take her with her when she moved out. She's always had major skin issues, I've spent a lot of money and time trying to fix it but it comes back every change of seasons, so it's kind of a hard thing to get rid of, she will most likely have this issue for the duration of her life. According to my roommate, she was a rescue from North Carolina. I'm rehoming her mostly due to the fact that I am moving and am putting my cats up to rehome. Dex has lived with another cat named Tick and a dog for the last 2 years, she's about 3 years old. She's very skiddish, she responds better to women than to men from what I've seen (although it could just be that her original owner, my old roommate, was a woman).

Story
Meet Lucy! This beautiful girl is a 1-year-old “Tabico”—a perfect blend of Calico and Tabby, with both the looks and personality to match! Lucy is a confident, easy-going, and incredibly sweet cat who absolutely loves people. She’s the kind of companion who will happily curl up beside you and soak up all the love and attention you’re willing to give. 🐾 She does well with other gentle cats and has even lived peacefully with a calm dog. Lucy is also a big fan of window watching —- she can spend hours basking in the sunshine while keeping an eye on birds and squirrels outside. 🐾 She enjoys her scratching post, adores her toys, and is always ready to stretch out on the couch for a cozy evening —- especially if it means being close to you. 🐾 Lucy is spayed, vaccinated and litterbox trained. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will truly bond with you, Lucy is your girl! For more info and/or to apply to adopt Lucy, send us an email at SummitDogRescue@gmail.com, telling us a bit about yourself, your home environment and your lifestyle. A volunteer will get back to you shortly. Thanks.

Story
Fred ~ 9 month old neutered male, $450 with brother George! Fred is your 'typical' derpy orange kitty. Full of energy, crazy antics and of course snuggles he is ready to find his furrever home! He is bonded to his brother, George. Fred and George are both FeLV+. We are happy to say that they are both testing at regressive levels and can live longer lives than with a progressive diagnosis. They should go to a cat-free home, or a home with other FeLV+ kitties only. The boys have done best on a high protein wet food diet since they battled diarrhea for a while as young kittens and have sensitive tummies, so we recommend they stay on that. They did great when introduced to a calm dog. Please reach out at cokittycoalition.com with any questions! Apply at cokittycoalition.com to meet them in Fort Collins! ##2531228##

As their voice, we advocate for their well-being by raising awareness about the shelter crisis, promoting responsible pet guardianship, and ensuring the compassionate treatment of all animals. *Our Vision* We envision a world where every animal is understood with empathy, treated with kindness and respect, and where the unique bond between humans and animals is cherished — enriching all lives. *Spay & Neuter is required by law in Colorado, helping to break the cycle of unwanted litters.* Please consider supporting our mission.
