Story
Tigger is a sweet and playful 3-year-old boy who is neutered. We got him from a rescue as a stray kitten and he's been a part of our mixed pet and child household. Issues have recently arisen because Tigger happens to be a spoiled indoor/outdoor kitty who insists on being so to the point of being a great escape artist and our kids let him out all the time on accident. My young son was recently diagnosed with Alpha Gal Syndrome from a tick that Tigger might have brought into the house (we have been finding them). Tigger likes to play in the woods and though he has a tick collar, he can still carry them in. Unfortunately, this illness has caused my son a lot of suffering with hives reactions to red meats, dairy, and red meat byproducts like gelatin and glycerin. The fact is, if he gets bit again, he could have life-threatening reactions as it can double the reaction and they are already bad. We are stuck in a very difficult situation and we just need to find our boy a good home.

Story
Currently located in: Winterport, ME! Adoptable in: ANYWHERE! (Transport available to most places!) Good with dogs: eh, they may be ok with well mannered dogs but are not used to them at all! Good with cats: They are ok with other cats but prefer to be alone or with each other, as always a proper slow introduction will be required as with any other kitties being introduced to a home. Please refer to https://www.jacksongalaxy.com/blog/the-dos-and-donts-of-introducing-cats/ Good with kids: Yes! Litter box trained: Yes! House trained: Yes! Meet Olive & Pickles Olive (female, 2-3 years old, long fur grey) and Pickles (female, 2-3 years old, tabby) were surrendered to Whiskers Fund because their owners living situation had changed and she was unable to care for them any longer. These two girls have been together for a while now but are not super bonded. We would like to keep them together as a pair since they do keep each other company, but also don't expect that they will be snuggled up together. Pickles is the tabby girl with big eyes! She is super sweet and loves to rub on your legs and demands attention! Olive chirps to let you know she is ready and available for all your love! Both girls enjoy snuggles but do take a little time to warm up, but not long! Olive & Pickles think temptations treats are THE BEST EVER and will get very excited when they hear the jar shake with the yummies they know are forthcoming! These girls will melt your heart! Pickles and Olive love toys! Pickles loves the little catnip mice best while Olive loves anything as long as it involves catnip! Pickles loves plush blankets and climbing up high on her cat tree while Olive likes to get comfy on squishy comfy beds! If you think you are the right home for them, please apply to adopt them here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScq8ShXPVGLfrGHlIYMk0plgI_PJxOEMdr8QItpQMXYCnluvg/viewform All of our animals are fully vetted before going to their furever homes. They are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, dewormed, up to date on flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and microchipped! The adoption fee is $550 for the pair! We do not accept deposits or the adoption fee until you have your new fur-members. Please Note: All animals are posted until they are officially adopted. This animal may have other interested adopters in line. Please apply quickly if you are interested. We are very quick to respond and process applications! You will be required to provide 2 non family personal references, a home video tour and a vet reference if you’ve previously had animals. Please feel free to send video to our email or facebook upon submitting an application, this lets us know you are serious and ready but also helps us to get you approved quickly. We will text and or call upon receiving your application to schedule a phone interview. You must be an approved adopter in order to go on meet and greets. This saves everyone’s time- especially our gracious foster families! This also allows for you to take the animals home from the meet and greet if you so choose. Interested in fostering? We would love to have you join our family! Fill out the same application above- we have our fosters go through the same process as adopters! Questions? Please email whiskersfunds@gmail.com or message us on facebook!
