Story
Friendly, affectionate, curious, and mellow kitten who loves to be with other cats. I have mild special needs as I have Megaesophagus. This means I just do best with canned food, a daily antacid and a tilted food dish that brings my food up just a bit higher. I've probably had this since birth, and it might get better as I get older, and I don't let it slow me down! www.helpingpawswi.org

🍑 Meet Peaches! 🍑Our 6 out of 5 on the CHA Spicy Kitty Scale has finally decided we might just be worthy of her presence! When a calico diva arrives at a shelter—especially one who’s had limited socialization—stress can make affection feel like a very optional activity. But with a little patience… and a lot of churu bribes, Peaches has started to let her guard down. She’s realizing that shelter life might not be her favorite, but the humans here aren’t so bad—and that trusting them might actually lead to chin scratches and cozy naps.Peaches is 5 years old and ready for a home that matches her vibe:✨ Quiet✨ Patient✨ Respectful of her personal space (and opinions!)✨ Loving—on her terms, of courseIf you appreciate a kitty with personality, boundaries, and a dash of spicy charm, Peaches might be your perfect match. Do you think your home could be the safe, calm haven she’s waiting for?Come meet this calico queen and earn her royal approval! 🐾👑All cats and dogs adopted from the Chequamegon Humane Association are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped. Story
Hi I'm Lewis and I am the shelters longest term kitten. I've been here for so long I could be considered an adult soon! I came into CHA with my mom and sister who went home a while ago! Part of the reason I have been here for so long is due to some litter box issues that I have had. Well here's some good news! For the past few months I have only used my litterbox and never my bedding when having to go potty! The workers even tested me overnight in an open room and I was a good boy and have learned to use the litterbox more consistently! I am a very spunky boy, I just wish I had enough room and a family to play with so I can get some pent up energy out and take some long naps! I love looking out the Lobby windows and seeing the pretty sky. Would someone give me a chance at a home? I would do best in a home with kids over the age of 12, if you want you can even dress me up in outfits! I am a bit scared of dogs and sometimes play a little too rough with other kitties so i would do best as the only animal in the house, at least until I get situated! All cats and dogs adopted from the Chequamegon Humane Association are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped. Meet Our Resilient Little Crew! 🐾🐱This adorable bunch of kittens had a tough start in life, but they’ve come a long way! Now about 17 weeks old, they’re playful, curious, and a little more independent since they came to us as older kittens. Some sport gorgeous long, fluffy coats, while others have sleek medium-length fur—you’re sure to fall in love with at least one!A few of the shyer kittens may prefer the quieter life of a safe barn home, while the more social ones are ready to become cherished house pets. Either way, they’re looking for a second chance and a safe, loving place to grow up. Could you open your heart and home (or barn!) to one of these cuties? 💕All cats and dogs adopted from the Chequamegon Humane Association are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped.
