We found Charlie as a stray in Northern CA. We took her in and housed her. She has never been aggressive towards myself, my wife or any of my kids.(6year old, 5 year old, and 8 month old). She listens to me well and understands to listen to being called and responds quickly. She does well on a leash and has always done great staying close on my left side. She is very fit and wants to work. Unfortunately we have just moved into an apartment and she simply needs more time and space to get out and about. She does excellent on a farm and has been around horses, cows, goats, and chickens with no problems.

03/20/24 10:47 shy and jumpy, but no problems handling and vaccinating. Needs more training on the leash03/26/24 12:39 Took out to the play yard for temp testing. Very sweet girl. Asked for attention. During temp test she didn`t want anyting to really do with the other dog and stayed mostly behind me but they did begin to sniff and she gave a quick correction to him which he responded to very well and back away slowly.04/10/24 11:49 Took out to the play yard for pictures. Not really a cuddler under these circumstances but could be once in a home. She was friendly and active. Nice girl.04/19/24 16:27 Took her out for a meet and greet, she was a little shy at first but slowly warmed up to the family. Meet Adoptable Lola! She’s a very affectionate and happy 3 year old Australian Shepherd/Sheepdog mix, around 80 lbs. She’s potty trained, and loves her crate. She has had some professional basic training. She is ecollar, muzzle, and prong collar trained. All these tools come with her to continue her push-button training. She knows sit, down, heel, leave it, wait, out, come, no, and crates on command. She also waits for the release command to eat. The guardian breeds in her makes her an amazing watch dog. She’s well behaved, and obedient. She loves to hike in the hills, and on the trail she has excellent off-leash recall. She also knows wait (and will stop and wait for you to catch up). She knows out (and will get out of the bushes in case of snakes). She’s great in the car for long periods on road trips, and the perfect camping/exploring  partner. Lola loves fetch, as well as playing with her toys, although tug is her very favorite type of play (if you’re strong enough). Lola was attacked by an off leash dog, so she has leash reactivity/fear of unknown dogs. She is working hard to overcome her fears, and needs an experienced adopter to continue her training back to neutral/non-reactivity. She is good with other calm dogs after proper introductions, and currently lives harmoniously with 3 males at her foster house. Sweet Lola can’t wait to meet you!  Interested in adopting this pet?
