Story
This is Ruth! Ruth was left behind from a previous owner who refused to take her with them and was told to send her to the pound. Of course i was not going to do that to this dog! She is loving, and wants nothing but human attention 24/7. If she could be your conjoined twin I think she absolutely would do it. She currently lives with me in a condo with a 5 year old and two cats. So she is very accepting of all creatures. She is crate trained, potty trained, knows a few commands, however she tends to pee when she meets new faces! She is very nice, but sometimes does not understand personal space. I unfortunately am in the process of taking care of my elderly parents and I work very odd hours and would love if Ruth could find a home that would be able to give her the time that she deserves. She loves walks, loves to roll in the grass, loves her chewies and rope toys. All her crates/toys/etc. will be giving free. Most importantly I just want her to have a loving home.

Story
These are the puppies people don’t always see 💔🐾 This litter was found in an extremely rural part of South Carolina—an area with little to no access to low-cost veterinary care and an animal control system that is so limited and overwhelmed they simply cannot take in puppies. In places like this, puppies are quite literally left to survive on the streets. And it’s devastating. Their mama was found deceased in the middle of the road. Her babies were discovered wandering back and forth between the roadway and an abandoned house, desperately trying to stay close to her. There were six puppies total, and heartbreakingly, one of them did not survive. The remaining babies are now about 6 weeks old and are heavily infested with hookworms, leaving them weak and in urgent need of medical care. Their start to life has been unimaginably hard, but thanks to quick action, all of the surviving puppies are now in foster homes where they are safe, warm, and finally receiving the love and care they’ve always deserved. For now, these babies are focused on healing—getting proper medical treatment, gaining strength, and learning what it means to be puppies in a safe environment. They will not be available for adoption for at least two more weeks as we work to give them the very best chance at healthy, happy futures. Their story is a painful reminder of why rescue work is so critical, especially in underserved rural communities. Right now, they are surrounded by love, soft beds, full bellies, and people who care deeply about their outcome. Please keep checking back to follow their journey. Their story isn’t over yet—and we’re committed to making sure the rest of it is filled with hope. 🤍

Their start to life has been unimaginably hard, but thanks to quick action, all of the surviving puppies are now in foster homes where they are safe, warm, and finally receiving the love and care they’ve always deserved. Several of the puppies needed to be hospitalized upon coming to us as they were not doing well and needed more supportive care. After IV fluids and antibiotics the four puppies have truly turned the corner and are doing so well in foster. For now, these babies are focused on healing—getting proper medical treatment, gaining strength, and learning what it means to be puppies in a safe environment. They will not be available for adoption for at least one more weeks as we work to give them the very best chance at healthy, happy futures.
