Look at the face on this boy!  Skppy is energetic and loves to play.  He would make a great companion on a hike or at the beach!!  He is best in  a home without children. Does well with most dogs. ##173682##

Story
Porter is a handsome fella who may have some border collie in his bloodline. It was reported to us by a previous owner that he had separation anxiety when left alone in a house. He has done well with some dogs at the sanctuary, but not all. We would not recommend that he live with a cat. He has been friendly to every person he meets and has a relaxed personality.

These pups are in Charleston, South Carolina too!

Story
This is Ruth! Ruth was left behind from a previous owner who refused to take her with them and was told to send her to the pound. Of course i was not going to do that to this dog! She is loving, and wants nothing but human attention 24/7. If she could be your conjoined twin I think she absolutely would do it. She currently lives with me in a condo with a 5 year old and two cats. So she is very accepting of all creatures. She is crate trained, potty trained, knows a few commands, however she tends to pee when she meets new faces! She is very nice, but sometimes does not understand personal space. I unfortunately am in the process of taking care of my elderly parents and I work very odd hours and would love if Ruth could find a home that would be able to give her the time that she deserves. She loves walks, loves to roll in the grass, loves her chewies and rope toys. All her crates/toys/etc. will be giving free. Most importantly I just want her to have a loving home.

Story
Meet Susan 🐾✨ About 9½–10 weeks old, a sweet cattle dog mix, and somehow the last one from her litter still waiting for a forever home — and honestly, we don’t understand why. Susan came to us from one of our rural shelter partners after being found as a stray. We don’t know what her parents looked like or where she came from, but what we do know is that she has grown into an absolutely incredible little puppy. She’s gentle, affectionate, and so full of love. Susan has been raised in a foster home that takes her everywhere — from beach days to everyday outings — and it shows. She is incredibly well-socialized, confident, and happy. She loves other dogs both big and small, and truly adores every person she meets. There isn’t a mean or shy bone in her body. She’s playful without being overwhelming, sweet without being timid, and has the kind of personality that fits seamlessly into just about any home. Susan is more than ready to settle into a family of her own and start the next chapter of her life. Being the last puppy waiting is hard — but we know her people are out there, and they’re going to be so glad they found her. 🖤🐶 Susan is ready for her forever home… all she’s missing is you.

Good with dogs,
Story
Meet this 6-year-old Blue Heeler / Cattle Dog mix 💙🐾 — a brilliant, loyal girl who is ready for a future as good as her heart. She came to us from one of our rural shelter partners after being found as a stray alongside a few other Heelers. Sadly, no one ever came forward for her. As dangerous weather approached and uncertainty loomed, her future was very much up in the air—one of far too many dogs facing impossible odds simply because of where they were found. Thankfully, thanks to some truly incredible fosters who raised their hands and said “yes,” we were able to bust this sweet girl out of the shelter and get her somewhere safe, warm, and full of love. From the moment she stepped into foster care, it was clear just how special she is. In true Heeler fashion, she is way too smart for her own good—the kind of dog who watches everything, figures things out quickly, and keeps you on your toes. The upside? She is an absolute dream when it comes to training. She catches on fast, loves having a job to do, and thrives when her brain is engaged. She’s the perfect mix of intelligent, attentive, and eager to please. She does well with other dogs, is deeply devoted to her people, and forms strong bonds with those lucky enough to earn her trust. She’s the kind of companion who wants to be part of your world—whether that means learning new skills, going on adventures, or simply being close to the people she loves most. This girl has already proven how resilient she is. Now all she needs is a forever home that will appreciate her intelligence, loyalty, and big heart. If you’re looking for a smart, soulful, and endlessly devoted best friend, she may just be the one you’ve been waiting for. ✨ She is available for adoption and ready to start her next chapter.
