Story
Sweet Mason was in horriffic shape when he came to the shelter. He had been adopted through the shelter and poor Mason was horribly neglected and we don't know if abused as well.  The shelter wanted to give Mason back to this owner after he got out of prison. We heard about his plight and rushed to save him. He is with a loving foster and looks like a totally different dog. He is healthy and so happy. He gets along with other dogs and is gentle and sweet. He is 3 years old and weighs just over 60 lbs   Mason is a very sweet, playful boy looking for a new home who will love and take care of me. He walks well on a leash and is completely potty and crate trained. He’s very well behaved when his foster mom bathes him, dremels his nails, cleans his ears, and brushes his teeth.Mason enjoys playing with small and medium sized dogs! He’s a little intimidated by large dogs, but with time and patience he can learn to be friends with them. Mason’s favorite things are playing with toys, roughhousing with his foster siblings, walking through trails, running alongside his foster mom when she bikes, and eating his fruits & veggies.Mason did DNA testing and it was determined that he is 60% German Shepherd, 21% American Staffordshire Terrier, 10% Belgian Malinois, and 9% Black Mouth Cur.  ##2839912##

Story
Meet Chuck! He's seven years old, 65 pounds and 100% lovable. Unfortunately, Chuck's family travels too much and can no longer care for him. Legacy Humane Society is helping them find a new family who can give Chuck the time and attention he deserves.  Chuck is house trained and can is trusted to roam his home when alone. He loves going for walks, rides well in the car, and loves playing in water/swimming. He is perfectly fine to relax around the house but has plenty of energy for playtime as well.  He would do best in a home with another dog and is great with kids. Chuck is a gentle boy who loves being with people but can get a little nervous when he's left alone for long periods of time.  He's neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. Chuck's adoption fee is $200 and you can apply to meet/adopt him here: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted.
