Dolly Purrton is a beautiful lynx point Siamese kitten who is looking for a loving forever home! This girl is a total purr machine and loves to make biscuits while her motor is running on high.  Dolly was found in a colony of community cats in east Dallas and was spayed as part of a TNR effort. Her finders quickly realized she was too friendly to go back outside and connected with RHS to get her into the rescue. She is a curious and super sweet little girl who loves attention and having a kitty friend around. Dolly will be happiest in a home with another cat to help show her the ropes, and we think she'd adapt quickly to a cat friendly dog as well.   Our Adoption Process: Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo an in person or virtual home visit from an RHS representative. We also get a reference from your vet, if applicable. Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in. We will try to include the foster parent so you can learn more about how the pet is in a home environment. Due to COVID, we may ask you to send a video of your yard and the pet's expected living space. Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at your home or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs, $300 for puppies (under 1 year) and $135 for cats. Meet Mantis of the Kung Fu Panda Masters Litter. Mantis is a beautiful fluffy girl who is super soft.  She has beautiful Seal Point Siamese markings and lovely blue eyes. She is known for diving right into play. You can see her dashing around the room running after her sister, Crane or tackling Hobbes, another of the foster cats in the home. She has some toys that chirp like birds and they are her favorite, unless she is roosting in the cat tree where she can watch the real bird version! She enjoys her meals and treats and prefers to daintily eat instead of rushing. She is quite the little lady. She is a little shy, so she might do best with a cat buddy. She lives in a foster home with dogs and is learning what they are all about.
