With lots of love, time and patience he has learned to know what love is and is looking for his forever home with a lucky family who will love him deeply and forever. Whisper loves playing with his scratcher and small toys but most importantly, loves when his belly is scratched. He has been introduced to dogs and other cats and gets on fine with his furry buddies in his current foster home. He plays a bit hard to get but will snuggle happily once you have him close by. Meet Luigi!  He and his brother and sister came to TMHPR from a local animal shelter. They are currently living in a loving foster home. His foster mom reports that this boy is easy going and loves a good face rub. He loves people and wrestling with cat brothers (both fosters and resident cats!). He also enjoys a tasty meal. He hass THE most beautiful blue eyes on this Flamepoint Siamese boy and he is a handsome guy. Super sweet and handsome - the whole cat package. Toast is a handsome Lynx Point Siamese mix male born approximately 8/23/2023. Meet Toast! "Hello there — my name is Toast, and I’m a big, beautiful boy with sparkling blue eyes and a heart just as bright! I’ve become "Fast & Furious" best friends with my foster brother, Marmalade. We zoom around the house together, racing up cat trees and sprinting up and down the stairs like pros. I keep myself entertained with toy balls, string chases, and plenty of playtime mischief! Ronni HAS to be the only cat in the household. Period. She gets over stimulated and will love bite. My 10 year old loves her and does not momd , but she has to stay confined to her room since she does not get along with other cats. I do have one female foster cat that will run into the room and hang out with her for a while. For the most part, I do think they get along. So, having another cat isn't a hard no, it would just need to be a slow introduction. Ronni is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. However, he is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program!  Foster-to-Adopt Program Details We are an all-volunteer, foster-based, non-profit organization We don’t have a physical location; all cats and kittens live in foster homes until they are formally adopted. Our foster-to-adopt program allows us to match cats and kittens with their forever family before they’re eligible for adoption. Eligible cats and kittens are placed in a foster’s home with the intention of adoption after required medical care is completed. Foster-to-Adopt foster parents are required to schedule and bring their cats(s) and/or kitten(s) to veterinary appointments at the Animal Medical Center of Richardson as needed.  Foster-to-adopters must meet all of the eligibility requirements RHS has for adopters.  Cats and kittens eligible for our foster-to-adopt program must pay a $50 non-refundable deposit at time of drop-off that will be deducted from the animal’s adoption fee of $135.  Our Adoption Process: Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo an in person or virtual home visit from an RHS representative. Complete Application.  https://www.richardsonhumanesociety.org/adopt/ Phone Interview/Vet Check. Compatible applicants will be forwarded to a counselor who will contact the applicant for a phone interview. We also get a reference from your vet, if applicable. Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in. We will try to include the foster parent so you can learn more about how the pet is in a home environment. Due to COVID, we may ask you to send a video of your yard and the pet's expected living space. Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at your home or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs, $300 for puppies (under 1 year) and $135 for cats.
