Story
Meet Monroe, a stunning 5-year-old Great Dane has endured more than her fair share of hardship, but you’d never guess it by the gentle way she looks at you. Monroe was rescued from a puppy mill, where she spent her early years in confinement, used for breeding without ever knowing the love, comfort, or freedom every dog deserves. Now safe in our care, Monroe is slowly discovering what it means to be a cherished companion. Despite her past, Monroe has a truly tender soul. She’s a calm, observant girl who approaches the world with quiet curiosity and growing confidence. While initially shy in new environments, Monroe warms up beautifully with time and patience. Once she trusts you, she becomes incredibly affectionate—leaning in for soft pets, resting her head in your lap, and quietly following you from room to room just to be close. She gets along well with other respectful dogs and would do best in a calm home with adopters who can offer her the stability and compassion she needs to continue healing. She’s learning how to enjoy the simple joys of life—soft beds, gentle hands, slow walks, and peaceful afternoons. We believe Monroe has never lived in a true home before, so she’s still getting the hang of house manners and daily routines, but she’s making wonderful progress. This regal girl has so much love to give. All she needs is a kind, patient family who will show her the life she’s always deserved. If you’re ready to open your heart to a survivor who’s ready to bloom, Monroe is waiting to meet you!

Story
Meet Ruby A Sweet, Big-Hearted Mastiff Puppy! Ruby is an absolutely delightful young Mastiff who was recently brought into BDRR as a surrender alongside her brother, Rocky. Please know that this transition was through no fault of her own; her previous family simply didn't have the time to dedicate to raising two large-breed pups. Despite this change, Ruby has maintained her wonderfully sweet and engaging personality. She embodies classic puppy energy and mannerisms—she's incredibly playful, curious, and ready to explore the world. Ruby loves water, adores the company of other dogs, and is great with kids. She thrives in an environment where she can be around other canines, making her an excellent candidate for a home with existing friendly dogs or a family who enjoys regular social outings. Due to her young age and the nature of her breed, Ruby is not done growing and will mature into a very big, exciting girl. Therefore, she will greatly benefit from basic obedience to help her manage her impressive size as she grows. Her big heart and charming personality are ready to fill a loving home where she can grow into a cherished family member.
