Story
Meet Monroe, a stunning 5-year-old Great Dane has endured more than her fair share of hardship, but you’d never guess it by the gentle way she looks at you. Monroe was rescued from a puppy mill, where she spent her early years in confinement, used for breeding without ever knowing the love, comfort, or freedom every dog deserves. Now safe in our care, Monroe is slowly discovering what it means to be a cherished companion. Despite her past, Monroe has a truly tender soul. She’s a calm, observant girl who approaches the world with quiet curiosity and growing confidence. While initially shy in new environments, Monroe warms up beautifully with time and patience. Once she trusts you, she becomes incredibly affectionate—leaning in for soft pets, resting her head in your lap, and quietly following you from room to room just to be close. She gets along well with other respectful dogs and would do best in a calm home with adopters who can offer her the stability and compassion she needs to continue healing. She’s learning how to enjoy the simple joys of life—soft beds, gentle hands, slow walks, and peaceful afternoons. We believe Monroe has never lived in a true home before, so she’s still getting the hang of house manners and daily routines, but she’s making wonderful progress. This regal girl has so much love to give. All she needs is a kind, patient family who will show her the life she’s always deserved. If you’re ready to open your heart to a survivor who’s ready to bloom, Monroe is waiting to meet you!

Story
Hi everyone! We are Moe Too, Lilith, and Lady, and our journey to a second chance has officially begun. ❤️ We came from Cobb County Animal Shelter to Big Dog Ranch with three little hearts full of hope. We may not understand how we ended up in a shelter, or why our lives took such an unexpected turn, but we do know one thing—we are incredibly thankful someone gave us a chance. We had heard wonderful things about the Ranch, and now that we are here, we are so excited to begin our new journey! First come the baths, medical checkups, lots of love, and a chance to feel safe again. Then we will start learning all those important “pup skills” that will help us become the best family members we can be—walking nicely on a leash, keeping our spaces clean, listening to our humans, and learning how wonderful it feels to trust again. 🐶💕 Every day at the Ranch brings us one step closer to the moment we dream about: meeting our forever families. We don't know what our past holds, but we know our future can be filled with love, soft beds, belly rubs, and a family who will never give up on us. 🏡❤️ Thank you, Cobb County, for helping us get here. And thank you, Big Dog Ranch, for giving us the second chance we were hoping for. Now all we need is someone to look into our eyes and say, “You're home.” 🐾❤️ Love, Moe Too, Lilith & Lady The Cobb County Pups

Story
Hi, my name is Fred! 🐾💙 I’m a 2-year-old Great Dane mix who was found as a stray in Selma. I was taken to a local shelter, and the wonderful people there did everything they could to care for me. When they realized I needed more medical resources and specialized care, they reached out to Big Dog Ranch—and these amazing humans didn’t hesitate to come get me. ❤️ I’m so grateful they did! When I arrived, I wasn’t feeling my best. Fleas and ticks had made me really sick, and I needed some extra help getting healthy. The incredible medical team here worked their magic, found the right food to help me gain weight, treated my medical issues, and gave me the care I needed to feel like myself again. And now? I feel WONDERFUL! 🥳🐾 I have tons of energy and absolutely love to play and have fun. I may be a big boy, but don’t let my size fool you—I’m a total lover boy! 💙 If you’ll let me, I’ll happily give you big hugs and remind you just how much love a big dog can give. I’ve been given a second chance, and I’m ready to spend it with someone who will love me as much as I’ll love them. If you’re looking for a big, playful, affectionate sweetheart with an even bigger heart, I think we might be a perfect match. I’m Fred—and I’m ready to hug my way into your heart! 🥰🐾🏡

Hi, I'm Spike! I'm full of energy, and I get along great with other dogs. I love to cuddle and I'm always up for some fun with my toys. I'm a delightful hound mix with a happy face, but behind this smile is a past I am trying to overcome. I've had a bit of a tough journey. I was adopted once, but then I had to go back to the shelter through no fault of my own. Because of spacing constraints, I ended up on the euthanasia list. But I'm a real gem and lucky for me the folks at the shelter recognized that and that's when Big Dog Ranch came to my Rescue. I have an irresistible charm and a playful nature that draws people in. I love affection and attention, and despite the challenges I've faced, I remain resilient and hopeful. I'm looking for a new chapter in my life filled with love and security. I need a family that can offer me the affection & attention I deserve, as well as keep me busy since I have lots of energy to burn. I pray for a home where my endearing personality can truly shine and is appreciated. I'm ready to find a home that loves me for who I am and is willing to put in the time to train me and make me a forever member of the family. I am a smarty and I admit can be a bit jumpy but that's just because I get so excited at the thought of going home. I will try hard to be the bestest boy I can be though. Could you be the family I've been waiting on for so long? I hope so. Please come and get me.

Story
Meet Kodiak, the ultimate gentle giant! A 2yo Anatolian Shepherd mix is essentially a massive, living teddy bear who is ready to wrap you in actual hugs. Kodiak arrived at the rescue after his previous owner passed away. He is an absolute social butterfly who adores people and is good with dogs with proper introduction that respect his boundaries Kodiak lived with two cats, small and big dogs alike which shows his diversity! He is fantastic with older children who respect his boundaries. Kodiak has plenty of energy and will need an activemily dedicated to giving him daily walks, playtime, and plenty of mental enrichment. Kodiak has shown “resource guarding” at the rescue with other dogs. He will need a home that understands the importance of structure and routine so he can enjoy his toys/space and treats safely with other canine friends. If you have room in your heart and your home for a loyal, energetic, and profoundly loving companion, Kodiak cannot wait to meet you!

Story
Meet Carrot: Carrot is a 2-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix with a gentle temperament and a lot of potential. He was originally rescued from Miami-Dade County in September of 2023, along with his 13 siblings. After being adopted, Carrot was unfortunately returned to our care due to circumstances beyond his control, and he is now ready to find a stable, loving forever home. Carrot may take a little time to feel comfortable in new environments, but once he settles in, his affectionate and playful personality shines through. He enjoys soft pets, interactive toys, and water-based activities, and he forms meaningful bonds with the people he trusts. He walks well on a leash, knows basic commands, and does well with other dogs, making him a pleasant companion both at home and on outings. Carrot would thrive in a calm, patient household that allows him to continue building confidence at his own pace. With consistency, structure, and kindness, Carrot has all the qualities to become a loyal and loving family companion. If you’re looking for a thoughtful, sweet-natured dog to grow alongside, Carrot may be an excellent match.
