Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Well, hello there! I’m Falkor, a regal, 100-pound Great Dane, and I’m here to tell you all that I’m a certified cuddle expert! It’s true, snuggling is my absolute favorite thing in the world and if you let me, I’ll happily bury my head in your arms and just soak up the love. I mean sure, I’m a big guy but I have a soft heart that is brimming with love and affection! One of my favorite pastimes is relaxing in my favorite armchair and watching the goings on outside. I’m still figuring out what toys are all about, but blankets, towels, and floppy toys are my jam! I also love going on leashed walks, but I’ll forewarn you - I’m a puller LOL, so, I need a confident human on the other end of the leash to show me how it’s done. Additionally, I love to stretch my legs with a nice, good run around the yard so I would love a fenced in yard or area to do that in.  By the way, I also LOVE pajamas…in fact, if I had it MY way, I’d have a whole closet full of cozy jammies that I could show off! Did I mention that I have great manners? I’m fully potty & crate trained, and I know commands like “come”, “go potty”, and “outside” so you can see I’m quite brilliant! I don’t bark much unless something catches me off guard; and cats beware because I have a high prey drive! I am good with kids however, due to my size, I do better with kids that are large dog savvy. As for other dogs, I prefer larger ones because the small ones tend to make me a bit nervous. Additionally, although I get used to other dogs in the home after some time, I can get a bit growly if I feel another dog is invading my space so I will need a confident forever parent who has experience with large, senior breeds. Truth be told, I like to throw my weight around if I’m looking for pets. Hee, hee!! Anyway, if you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion who’s all about cuddles and calm vibes, I’m your guy. Let’s meet—I can’t wait to find a patient, furever family who will love me unconditionally and NEVER give up on me! Love & cuddles Falkor *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
Welcome Jinx to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 19-month-old Great Dane/Greyhound is our best guess. He is very sweet. He weighs about 70 pounds but is tall and lean. He loves men and is friendly with strangers. He knows sit, good on a leash and good in a kennel. His owner went into hospice and can no longer care for Jinx. Jinx is looking for his forever home. This is a fantastic dog and some lucky family will have a great companion. He appears to be potty trained. He goes in his outside kennel. He doesn’t jump up and is decent on a leash. He knows his name and is very attentive. He loves men naturally but accepts all people. He isn’t too wiggly so he would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. This is a larger dog but he has a wonderful temperament so you will not have to worry with other people or anything. He would be fine going to any social place and strangers petting him without permission. He is lower shedding and not over the top. He is good with other dogs and would be a great companion if you liked to walk, hike or jog. He is an amazing dog and we are fortunate to be looking for his forever home. He is neutered, healthy and ready for his forever home. Anyone who likes a large dog will love this boy. He is not timid like the great danes but is long and larger like one. He will be a head turner anywhere you take him. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Say hello to Nyx, the adorable Great Dane who’s as big in heart as she is in size! This gentle giant is a total sweetheart, always ready to greet strangers with a friendly sniff and a slobbery kiss. If you’re looking for a cuddle buddy, Nyx is your girl! She leans against you like a true Dane, begging for pets and scratches, and she loves to jump up for hugs, blissfully unaware of her impressive stature. Nyx is a social butterfly with a preference for larger playmates, having formed a special bond with a tiny Chihuahua! While she’s great with other dogs, she’s not a fan of feline friends. She’s working hard on her manners, but sometimes her excitement gets the best of her—especially when meeting new furry pals. She’ll need gentle reminders to take it slow during introductions, as her enthusiasm can be quite contagious! Though she doesn’t require a fenced yard, Nyx would relish having a space to run, play, or bask in the sun. She loves her car rides too, often resting her head on your arm or shoulder while you cruise around. When it comes to playtime, bones and big toys are her favorites, but soft toys don’t stand a chance against her mighty jaws! Nyx is a foodie at heart, but she can be a little possessive around her doggie friends during meal times. No worries, though—she happily eats her meals in her cozy kennel! Ideally, she’d thrive with older kids who can handle her size and energy, but she’ll shower anyone with affection. If you're ready to welcome a loving, enthusiastic companion into your home, Nyx is waiting to bring joy and laughter into your life! &#226&#156&#168 Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.
