Welcome Cheeto. He is a 6 month old Great Dane mix. He is 67 pounds right now and may be 80 pounds full grown. Cheeto is a great dog. He loves treats and will sit when asked to with a treat. He loves the lady kennel workers. He is timid which is common in this breed but he is very friendly and affectionate. He would be great with someone that knows and understands this wonderful breed. He was found on the streets of Texas and was taken in by a good Samaritan. He can go with children. We like them to 8 or older. He would love to be a companion for the right family. He will love being a house dog and he is energetic but not for too much time and he settles down nicely. If you have a fenced back yard, he can get enough exercise exploring it. He could also go on walks. He does pull some but he really wants to do what you are asking so consistency with him will work wonders. He is currently neutered, vaccinated, healthy and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Meet Misty! She's a smart lady who is smart as a whip! She's crate trained, mastered many commands (sit, down, off, mat, enough, go to your room, here, all done- more than most kids :). She loves to run, play fetch and be wherever you are! She's a year and a half old, and was lucky enough to have professional training donated to help her find her forever home. Whoever adopts her will receive at least one free hand off session from her trainer to help her transition go perfectly! Her ideal family would be somewhat active (she needs to run around a yard at least a few times per day). She gets along well with other dogs, but calmer dogs are best. Misty loves to play, but she can get very excited if the other dog is too energetic! She would do well with older children. Younger children and cats would require a lot of supervision. Hey there, I am Gordy aka Gordon (when I’m not listening) and Gordito Crunch (when my foster mama is playing with me)! I am a 5 year old Great Dane/Great Pyrenees mix. That just means I’m extra great of course! I have the Great Dane height and body but a Great Pyrenees head with the Pyrenees shedding. I was originally surrendered as a puppy due to having special back legs. I was adopted to a wonderful family but returned back to rescue because of my sensitivity to frequent visitors. I get that from the Great Pyrenees side - I feel the need to protect my home and yard. I love hard and love attention from my humans but don’t enjoy people I don’t know initially when they enter my home. I take my job of protecting the home seriously and need my humans to prove to me that they can control and protect the house so I don’t have to worry about it. I really respect boundaries and expectations that are presented to me by my humans! I graduated a 5 week board and train program in 2023. I have strong obedience skills and am looking for a home who can hold me accountable to those skills. I know how to walk well on leash, the place command, heel, come and all of the other skills I need to be a well mannered boy. I am trained with an eCollar and a prong collar for walking. My future family should be comfortable with those training tools. I really love to play with toys and other dog friends. I’m a total goofball but have shown resource guarding over food with other dogs. I prefer to eat my food and bones in my kennel or in a separate room from other dogs however, as I get older I am much more relaxed. I am also good with cats though have never lived with one. I really love my kennel. I will sleep there at night, when my foster parents are gone or when there are visitors at the house. I can also be left out to free roam at night though I prefer to sleep next to my foster parents bed or in the hallway so I can keep a watchful eye on my humans. Remember how I was surrendered as a puppy due to having special legs? Well, I still have special back legs. I was born with slightly twisted femurs so I walk a bit differently and have arthritis in my back knees. I love to run and play but can be sore after playing all day long so I occasionally take gabapentin to help. I also require daily joint supplements to help my bones stay healthy. I have a pet insurance policy that will be transferred to a potential adopter - they will be expected to continue to keep that in place after adopting me. Foster Mama Here:Gordy is the bestest boy. We fostered him when he was a puppy as well. We do not let him greet new visitors at our house and require him to stay on his bed in a “place” while visitors are here or in his kennel. He does like to meet people slowly and at a good pace. We would walk his adoptive family through the intro process that he is successful with. Once he knows and trusts you he will forever welcome you as a family member of his. Gordy has so much potential and loves so hard. But he will require owners who can set strict boundaries in the home and hold him accountable. His breed and genetics make him want to protect his home and people but if you a set boundaries he is such a great listener. We walk him on a prong collar and he is eCollar trained. His adopters will need to commit to continued use of these training tools and also meeting with his board and train trainer to learn about everything he knows. Gordy is muzzle trained. He is great at the groomer! Gordy loves the snow and playing outside. His favorite is his doggy pool in the summer. We have 4 other dogs in our home and he plays with all of them. Gordy lived with kids in his first home. He was very protective over them so we do not recommend he go to a home with children under the age of 12. He could thrive in the country as he will bark when he sees humans and dogs walking by the home. ##954057##

This handsome boy was picked up running at large and based on Facebook posts it was about his third or fourth offense, but no one claimed him. We are guessing that he was a failure at being a livestock guardian because he’s way too social. He’s always wanting to visit someone new. Charlie is a little over a year old and weighs 110 lbs. He was very thin when he first came to us but is now at his perfect weight. He is neutered, up to date on required vaccines, microchipped and heartworm tested negative. He’s house trained and he loves other dogs, but he is a big guy. He also will require a tall fence, and you will have to keep an eye on him because again he likes to visit new people. He’s affectionate and likes to lean on you. He is learning commands like sit and stay and he really tries to please! This is what his foster mom says about him " Charlie is amazing. He is housebroken, loves to be hugged, hasn’t chewed anything up, likes to play but is content just to chill. He walks beautifully on a leash and likes to say hi to everyone he meets. Charlie enjoys sitting and looking out the window, hanging around in the kitchen especially when I’m cooking and going for car rides. Although this breed is known for having a stubborn streak, Charlie seems to understand a few commands wait, it’s ok, no, come, let’s go and he will even sit for a treat. But his favorite is Good Boy Charlie❤️" This guy would be a great dog for an active loving family. He’s so sweet! Are you looking for a lively personal trainer, a child’s ride-upon horse, fetch master, and a goofball? Look no further: Travis is your man. Travis is an Anatolian Shepherd/Foxhound mix born approx 12/7/23. He hails from Arkansas and is dripping with Southern charm and charisma. He is the father to the eight adorable puppies recently welcomed by Taylor. Travis is playful; he plays like it’s his job! What does he play, you might wonder? Whatever the resident 7, 4, and 2-year-old children are doing. This could be Cabbage Patch, swinging in the hammock, wrestling, zipping through forts/blanket houses, or classic rock dance parties. Leash walking? More like running! It is improving but Travis does pull. He’s just so excited to go fast, seeing and smelling everything. Potty trained? Completely. Kennel-tolerant? Yes, although he prefers if there is a person or two in his vicinity. Vocalization? Rarely does a bark or whimper come from Travis. He has never growled or shown teeth, even when our 2-year-old picked up a handful of kibble from his bowl during meal time. We are “training” the kids that even a lovebug like Travis needs to be left alone during dinner! Socialization? Loves all people and other dogs. Can occasionally whelp pathetically when kenneled, and we leave the house. Our 4-year-old says “when he makes that noise he’s showing you he misses his eight puppies!” Lol. Intelligence? Travis is unbelievably smart and is quite possibly a mind-reader. Additional training on staying down and leash manners are the only areas this near-perfect dog needs to work on. Travis would easily fully integrate into any family with young kids. The adventures he has with little ones are both hilarious and heart-warming. Travis doesn’t want to simply meet you; he wants us to arrange a play date with you. Cheers!
