Story
Meet Monroe!Monroe is a total sweetheart with a playful spirit and a soft, snuggly side. She’s the kind of dog who brings both fun and comfort into your home, and loves being part of the action, whether that’s going for walks, playing with toys, or curling up for a nap right beside you. Monroe is a big fan of stuffies and will happily toss them in the air and catch them like it’s her own personal party trick. When playtime is over, she’s all about cuddles, happily snuggling up with her people (and her dog friends once she knows them).Monroe is social and has done well with other small dogs, enjoying playtime while also settling in for cozy moments together. She would likely benefit from having another confident dog in the home to help build her confidence, especially on walks where new sights and sounds can still feel a bit overwhelming. Monroe has shown some resource guarding of her people and favourite spaces (like beds), so she will do best with an experienced, patient adopter who can continue to guide her with clear boundaries and positive reinforcement. She’s smart, eager to please, and doing great with her training. With praise, patience, and consistency, she continues to learn and grow every day. She thrives on attention and would do best in a home where she isn’t left alone for long periods, she truly just wants to be part of the family. With a little time to settle in, Monroe blossoms into a loving, loyal companion with a constantly wagging tail and a heart full of gratitude. If you’re looking for a playful cuddle bug who will keep you smiling and always want to be by your side, Monroe might just be your perfect match.
