Adopt Remy!
Remy is a sweet, affectionate boy with a big heart who is looking for someone willing to love him for exactly who he is. His estimated birthday is 1/1/2024.
Once Remy trusts you, he becomes your biggest fan. He loves to be close to his people, happily following you from room to room, curling up next to you on the couch, or even claiming a spot on your lap. Belly rubs, back scratches, games of fetch, and neighborhood walks are some of his favorite things, and if you let him, he'll happily share your bed at night.
Remy is completely potty trained and enjoys spending time outside chasing squirrels, rabbits, and birds around the yard. He's incredibly fast and loves a good game of fetch, whether it's with a tennis ball or one of his favorite stuffed toys. He's also a brave little guy who isn't bothered by thunderstorms and doesn't mind heading outside in the rain when nature calls.
Like many dogs, Remy needs a little time to warm up to new people. He may greet strangers with some barking at first, but with patience, reassurance, and a few treats, he's been making wonderful progress. His foster has watched him become more comfortable meeting new people, improve on walks around other dogs and people, and even seek comfort from a trusted visitor when his foster briefly stepped away. Every week, Remy continues to show just how capable he is of growing.
Remy does experience separation anxiety and currently takes medication to help him feel more comfortable. He would do best in a calm, predictable home with someone who understands that building confidence takes time. An adopter who is patient, committed, and willing to continue the positive reinforcement and routines that have helped him succeed will be rewarded with an incredibly loyal companion who simply wants to love and be loved.
If you're looking for a devoted best friend who will celebrate every little victory with you, Remy just might be the perfect match.
