Story
My mom is 76 years old and fell in the ice. She will be out of commission for a little bit. She realized that she is too old for a puppy. Lily is 7 months old and is 6 lbs. and super sweet. She is pretty much house trained but was still having some puppy accidents. I don’t think that my mom let her out enough since she was in an apartment. Lily gets along with everyone and would be suitable for an individual, couple or in a family atmosphere. My mom spoiled her by sleeping with her but the foster family said she is doing great with the crate training.

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
If you are interested in adopting or fostering this dog. Please visit our website - www.cockeradoptions.org   There, you will find the current status of the dog, the links to our adoption and foster applications, and detailed information about our adopting and fostering procedures.   MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Marshmallow, and I just arrived at CSAC. The CSAC volunteer said that I was friendly to people, cuddly, alert and just a bit timid. I was rescued from a puppy mill. I have spent my life in a barn, a shed or a cage. The best home for me has people who have dog experience who can help with my training and acclimating to the outside world. The people in my new home should be able to teach me the skills I need to be a great pet: walking on a lead, house training, and socializing. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will help me to understand that I am a cherished family pet, not just an animal to be used to make money. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. Story
We are looking for a very special home for a very special little old girl. Dory was turned into the shelter as a stray. She is deaf and blind and wasn't spayed. Her teeth were rotten. She had a urinary tract infection. The shelter estimated she's about 16 years old. But her life turned around when she arrived at FLFO. We knew it was risky for her age but we had her spayed and all of her remaining teeth needed to be extracted. She is fully healed now and is so happy! She is able to eat pain-free and loves her food, whereas before it was a struggle getting her to eat. Dory does have incontinence and must wear a diaper. We use washable ones. She's a very sweet and lovable little angel, deserving of a home who will appreciate her for who she is. Do you have what it takes to unconditionally love Dory for the remainder of her life? She's healthy so could be around for a while! FLFO requires a home visit therefore adopters must be within 40 miles of Baldwin MD. Please complete an application found on this site: https://www.flfosenioranimals.org/adoption
