Story
We are looking for a very special home for a very special little old girl. Dory was turned into the shelter as a stray. She is deaf and blind and wasn't spayed. Her teeth were rotten. She had a urinary tract infection. The shelter estimated she's about 16 years old. But her life turned around when she arrived at FLFO. We knew it was risky for her age but we had her spayed and all of her remaining teeth needed to be extracted. She is fully healed now and is so happy! She is able to eat pain-free and loves her food, whereas before it was a struggle getting her to eat. Dory does have incontinence and must wear a diaper. We use washable ones. She's a very sweet and lovable little angel, deserving of a home who will appreciate her for who she is. ​ Do you have what it takes to unconditionally love Dory for the remainder of her life? She's healthy so could be around for a while! FLFO requires a home visit therefore adopters must be within 40 miles of Baldwin MD.

Tiny Teddy is the cutest 12-year-old, 6.8-pound boy!  He loves to snuggle and be held by his people.  Teddy is fostered with other pups, and he does fine with them. Teddy is house trained.  He is quiet when left alone so condo friendly. Teddy has a persistent cough due to a collapsing trachea, but with daily meds it is easily managed.  He just wants LOVE, and who can resist this tiny toy poodle.  He is fostered in Alexandria, VA. She greets her favorite people with bright enthusiasm and a happily wagging tail, always ready to make you feel welcomed and loved. Playful and social, Cocoa enjoys romping with other dogs, but she’s just as capable of entertaining herself when her friends need a break. When the adventures are over, she’s perfectly content curling up beside you on the couch for some quiet companionship. She can be a bit startled by unexpected noises and may respond with a few barks, and she tends to be cautious around new people. With a little patience and reassurance, she learns to settle and feel safe, though she may need gentle redirection from time to time. Cocoa would make a wonderful addition to the right family. Story
Luna is almost 7. We adopted her ~3 years ago. She jumped right into our laps. Since then, we've enjoyed countless hours of love and cuddles with her. The hard part: Luna has *severe* separation anxiety (barking). Over the past 3 years, we've tried behavioral intervention programs & medications. She's always had a village around to care for her. We love this little dog with all our hearts but we've run out of options for constant pet care, strategies for addressing her anxieties, and financial flexibility. Luna needs people with some or all of the following: 24/7 access to dogsitters and/or WFH, family/community that can pitch in, and a deep well of patience. Something that's vital is that she does not do well in a city environment - too much stimulus. She requires a rural or quiet suburban home to have peace of mind. Although she has no shortage of anxieties, Luna is overflowing with love and affection for people. We hope you'll consider being her new family.
