Story
I got Johnny when I had a ton of medical stuff going on. He has been my buddy for 5 years. I recently took in a couple of toddlers and I just can’t keep up with the kids and dog. He is starting to have accidents as I can’t ten to him as he needs. He is completely up-to-date on immunizations. And recently groomed. he loves children. He is a great lap dog too. He isn’t the greatest with other dogs but hasn’t loved with one either. He gets along well with our 2 cats.

Story
Meet Buffy — a 4-year-old Toy Poodle/Dachshund with a loving heart, a playful spirit, and a whole lot of personality packed into 11 tiny pounds. Buffy cam in unsocialized with people but quickly learning what it means to be a cherished companion in a safe and loving home. Like many poodles, she is smart, affectionate, energetic, and happiest close to her people — preferably in a lap whenever possible! Although, she does love being in her crate as well and will sleep all night in it. She’s making wonderful progress every day with the help of her foster mom and an amazing companion dog who is showing her the ropes of normal dog life. Buffy is discovering toys, routines, trust, and all the little joys that come with being part of a family. She will thrive with patient adopters who understand that rescued dogs need time, encouragement, and love to fully blossom and trust their people. In return, Buffy offers endless affection, loyalty, and plenty of poodle charm. Please apply for Buffy at www.HavenAnimalRescueNebraska.org ADOPTION DONATION: $400 *ALL DOGS MUST BE INSIDE COMPANION ANIMALS! Story
Meet Mr Boots! At 10.5 years young and just 11 pounds, this phantom poodle proves that the best things come in small packages. He may be a senior, but he’s still quick on his feet and loves to keep up with his people - especially if it means being close to you. This sweet boy has a big personality and an even bigger heart. He can be a little shy at first, but give him a bit of time and patience, and you’ll see his true self shine—a loving, affectionate companion who wants to be close. As a former dad, he carries a gentle nature and is happiest when he’s by your side, soaking up all the pets he can get. He gets along well with other dogs and would do great in a home with a canine companion, or as your one-and-only little shadow. He is house-trained, though, like many dogs in a new environment, he may need a little time and consistency to settle into a routine. His energy level is easygoing - he enjoys short bursts of activity but is just as happy lounging nearby, keeping you company. He’s low-maintenance, loving, and simply wants a home where he can be cherished. If you’re looking for a loyal, snuggly companion who just needs a little time to blossom, he’s ready to meet you. Story
THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED WHEN THE DOG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. INQUIRIES ABOUT THE ADOPTION STATUS WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Meet Missy, an aging punk with a mohawk who has no respect for authority, errr off leash rules. Missy is a senior Chihuahua mix who sports some fancy hair due to possible Poodle ancestry. She’s got Terrier brains and attitude to boot. She’s spry, agile, and has a verticle jump of a few feet so maybe there is a bit of bunny in there?Unfortunately, she must have some Greyhound a few generations back because she loves to run! It’s not cute or fun when she does it through the neighborhood off leash, so she needs a securely fenced yard and must be on a leash at all times when outside of her yard. At eleven years young, Missy is full of sass, snuggles, and speed. She would thrive in an home with someone who can walk her around the block daily, snuggle her nightly, give her snackies and tell her she’s a good girl. She told us she’d really like you to hold her while watching your shows after dinner. She especially likes to tuck her head under your chin. Do think you can grant her wish? If so, apply today. Please note: Missy should have been named Dora the Explorer because she LOVES to run and is a professional escape artist. Securely, and we mean Ft Knox, fenced yard is a firm requirement or else someone dedicated to leash walking her for potty breaks and exercise. The suggested adoption donation for Missy is a minimum of $175 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". All of our dogs that come from a commercial breeding facility require a securely fenced yard AND a resident companion dog, unless the dog's bio states otherwise. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment. Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information
