Meet Mr Boots! At 10.5 years young and just 11 pounds, this phantom poodle proves that the best things come in small packages. He may be a senior, but he’s still quick on his feet and loves to keep up with his people - especially if it means being close to you. This sweet boy has a big personality and an even bigger heart. He can be a little shy at first, but give him a bit of time and patience, and you’ll see his true self shine—a loving, affectionate companion who wants to be close. As a former dad, he carries a gentle nature and is happiest when he’s by your side, soaking up all the pets he can get. He gets along well with other dogs and would do great in a home with a canine companion, or as your one-and-only little shadow. He is house-trained, though, like many dogs in a new environment, he may need a little time and consistency to settle into a routine. His energy level is easygoing - he enjoys short bursts of activity but is just as happy lounging nearby, keeping you company. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals.
