Story
Meet Teddy!! He’s believed to be a 2-3 year old Havapoo (Havanese/Poodle) and weighs 12 lbs. Teddy does great with other dogs and kids and he loves women, but some men are scary to him. He’ll usually bark if he’s unsure of them. He’d probably prefer a home without a man living there. He loves to play with other friendly dogs, have fun with chew toys, follow his foster mom around, take naps, sit on laps, and really be anywhere with his person. Teddy was surrendered by a breeder to a small pound and he sat there for several months. He is mostly housebroken now and will not go potty in his crate, but he must be let out consistently. If he has a belly band on inside it’s almost always dry. He just needs let out regularly and big praises when he does his job. He doesn’t chew on things he’s not supposed to, but he does seem to love his crate. His hair is not curly, but Teddy will need regular grooming appts. He loves running in the fenced in backyard, so we are requiring a fence for this deserving boy. He is neutered, fully vetted and vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped, and ready for adoption!! Adoption donation fee is $375. PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.  Thank you for choosing adoption!! April 18, 2024, 12:13 am

Story
Cinnamon is a sweet Toy Poodle, born 2021.  She gets along with everyone - dogs, cats, new people, kids of all ages.  She prefers women to men and she would love to have another dog or cat around.  Cinnamon needs a fenced yard and has been known to do a little digging.  She likes to be active and she is leash trained.  She would prefer if there is someone around because she does not like to be left alone and she is not a fan of her kennel.  Do you have room on your lap for this little sweetheart? The suggested adoption donation for Cinnamon is $475, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. If the dog or cat you adopt is older than 6 months of age and not spayed or neutered, you will receive a voucher to alter the pet at Val Verde Animal Hospital in Omaha, at no cost to you.  Or you can alter the pet at your own vet and be reimbursed $100 for dogs, and $50 for cats, of total cost.  If the dog or cat is younger than 6 months of age, adopter will be responsible for the cost of altering the pet at the vet of their choice.  If proof of alter is received by Muddy Paws prior to the pet turning 6 months of age, a reimbursement of $100 for dogs and $50 for cats, will be sent to you to help cover expenses.  All puppies and kittens MUST be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age.  All dogs and cats MUST be spayed or neutered no later than one month after adoption is finalized.  Thank you in advance for your compliance. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.
