Cocoa Poodle mix Female Apricot 11 months old 9 lbs Meet Cocoa! Cocoa is a delightful blend of puppy-like joy and mature good manners. She greets her favorite people with bright enthusiasm and a happily wagging tail, always ready to make you feel welcomed and loved. Playful and social, Cocoa enjoys romping with other dogs, but she’s just as capable of entertaining herself when her friends need a break. When the adventures are over, she’s perfectly content curling up beside you on the couch for some quiet companionship. She can be a bit startled by unexpected noises and may respond with a few barks, and she tends to be cautious around new people. With a little patience and reassurance, she learns to settle and feel safe, though she may need gentle redirection from time to time. Cocoa would make a wonderful addition to the right family. He came to us as an owner surrender because they no longer had time for him and it was evident! He was starving and emaciated, almost to the point of death. If we had not taken him when we did, he could have died of starvation. He is currently on a refeeding program and thankfully improving. He is currently about 4 pounds but the vet said he should probably weigh about 10 pounds. Luckily, his blood work and physical exam showed he is an otherwise healthy dog. He was given a good prognosis with a complete recovery expected. Romeo will need a home that can provide him with a stable routine. He needs to know he will never be starved again. He is reported to only like older children. A fenced yard will make him happy! Apply now to make him your forever lovebug! Tiny Teddy is the cutest 12-year-old, 6.8-pound boy!  He loves to snuggle and be held by his people.  Teddy is fostered with other pups, and he does fine with them. Teddy is house trained.  He is quiet when left alone so condo friendly. Teddy has a persistent cough due to a collapsing trachea, but with daily meds it is easily managed.  He just wants LOVE, and who can resist this tiny toy poodle.  He is fostered in Alexandria, VA.
