You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Aaron Pawdgers – The MVP (Most Valuable Pup) You've Been Waiting For! Age: 6 - 7 years old Breed: Treeing Walker Coonhound Mix Location: In foster and ready to throw a touchdown into your heart! If you're looking for a superstar free agent to draft into your family, look no further than Aaron Pawdgers – a goofy, gentle soul with a nose for adventure and a heart of gold. This food-motivated hound is the full package: crate trained, house-trained (mostly – he’s not a fan of cold-weather “timeouts”), and plays well with the whole team, especially other dogs! Scouting Report: Temperament: 100% sweetheart. Zero aggression. Loves people, gets along with other dogs, and is projected to be great with respectful kids. Play Style: More Lambeau Leaps than chew toys – he prefers romping around and playing than settling down with a squeaky ball. Special Skills: Nose-driven detective work, nesting before nap time, and adorable little hops that will score style points every time. Training Status: He knows his name, responds to gentle coaching (“atat!” = no), and is highly coachable with a little food motivation and routine. Leash Behavior: He’ll need a little coaching to stop the blitz (pulling), but he’s manageable – an easy lead harness would help keep the play in bounds. Big Plays: Responsive to voice, loves affection, and lights up like a stadium when he sees his favorite people. &#239&#184&#143 Ideal Home for Our QB: Aaron Pawdgers would thrive with a loving teammate (or two – dog siblings welcome!), a fenced yard for zoomies, and someone ready to give him time, consistency, and lots of snuggles. He’s not into cold-weather games and will try to bench himself from potty duty when it’s chilly – so a little patience is key. Not recommended for homes with cats – he’s a bit too interested in the feline squad – but with humans and dogs, he’s a total professional. Fun Facts From the Sidelines: His goofy personality shines in unexpected, hilarious ways – you’ve got to see him “hop” to believe it. He’s not a big barker, but he will use his voice when pumped up. Doesn’t mark, doesn’t chew up the playbook – just wants to be your No. 1 draft pick. Final Play: Aaron Pawdgers is ready to leave the foster bench and become your forever starter. He's got the heart, the hustle, and the coonhound-dog charm to be your best friend for life. Ready to bring this MVP home? Submit your application today and let Aaron Pawdgers lead your pack to victory!   Adoption Fee: $250.00 **Included:** - Neutered - Up to date on all vaccines - Microchipped - Heartworm Treated Adoption Requirements: Home visits required and non-negotiable Adoptable through: The London Sanctuary Fostered in: Jacksonville, FLVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 15, 2025, 6:12 pm

Story
SPECIAL NEEDS - Neurological disorder Hi, I’m Ripp – a one-of-a-kind, 2-year-old hound with little quirk to my step. I was born with a neurological condition that makes me walk and move a bit differently than other dogs. It doesn’t stop me from enjoying life, but it does mean I need a few things to feel safe and happy: a fenced-in backyard to explore at my own pace, and little to no leash walks - they make me really nervous and uncomfortable. I also get very anxious in the car. I get along great with other dogs and even cats, but I’d do best in a home without young kids. I like to keep my food and toys to myself, so I appreciate being left alone during mealtime or when I’m playing. I’m crate trained and really love having a cozy spot to relax. If you have a calm, loving home and an open heart for a dog who might be a little different, I promise to give you all the tail wags, snuggles, and goofy charm I’ve got.

He is an excellent dog, very loving and playful, he has been my pet for the past 5 years, he gets along very well with other pets but unfortunately I can not continue taking care of him because I spend too many hours away from home because of my work, I hope he can get a good home.

Story
Lady is being fostered in TX. HI! I am delighted that you are interested in knowing more about me! I am about 3 months old*. My absolute passions are EAT, MOVE and Cuddle! In fact, among my many super pawers is my super sense of smell, so I became highly excited when smelling delicious foods around me! My foster mamma and I are working hard to learn how to harness this super power! My second super power is my high level of energy and my strong curiosity, I guess that makes three super powers, isn’ it? If you don’t give me a job to do, I will find it on my own! So it is very important for me that you become my guiding light. Yet, I also want you to be soft and cuddle with me in quiet times, since I actively look for bonding, reassurance, and safety. I am good with kiddos, but I will prefer kiddos 6+ since I - for now - get excited and might scratch them by accident. Also, I highly benefit from tolerant and playful siblings who can help me balance when the puppyhood zoomies come! Did I tell you that I am already potty trained? YUP!!! I am proudly potty trained. Regarding my eyes, I have Microphthalmia which “is a congenital condition where one or both eyeballs are abnormally small” on my right eye. My foster momma is seeing a little cloudiness on my left eye*, so I am going to visit an eye specialist in mid August. However, I have not presented any issue navigating the house, jumping the stairs, or avoiding any obstacles in the backyard. I am sure my foster momma will update any relevant info after our appointment. Are you ready to love me? * By the time of this writing on July 2nd. BDRA has voted against the use of eletrical fencing effective immediately.
