Story
Hi there, my name is Pam! You may have seen me posted as “Kendal”, but when I wasn’t responding to that, my foster mom changed my name to Pam & now I know it perfectly! I'm a sweet, one-year-old, 30lbs mix, full of love, laughter and fun! Some things I enjoy include chewing on toys, playing fetch in the backyard, cuddling with people, roughhousing and finding new ways to exert my energy! I’m a very energetic pup who will need a fenced in yard, as I don’t particularly enjoy walks — the big world is a bit scary out there, and my “flight mode” is still often triggered during walks. Rather, I prefer playing catch with tennis balls and chasing my human and dog friends in the yard. I’ll need an active home, which can give me lots of outlets for my energy. I'm hoping to find an experienced adopter who can continue helping me gain the confidence, independence and manners I need to thrive. I'm a very sweet girl, but I sometimes need guidance and reminders to keep me on the right track, as I’m still working on a few puppy tendencies. I haven’t quite learned to keep my mouth closed when playing, so I will need a home without young children. In summary: my ideal family will be a family who can spend as much time with me as possible and include me in activities, have a fenced yard, no young children and an active lifestyle to keep me entertained and stimulated. I am a very vocal girl, and quite good at using my voice, so I would not do well in an apartment/attached type of home. If you think I’d fit into your lifestyle, apply today and let’s see what adventures we can come up with! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out our application here: http://www.rchsks.org/our-animals/adopt-a-pet/adopting-a-dog. By filling out the application you are not committing yourself to adopting; it's a screening process that must be completed before you meet the dog. Please do this BEFORE calling. Our voicemail is only checked periodically and you can reach us much faster via dog-coordinators@rchsks.org. Thank you!
