Now, she’s truly ready for what she’s always deserved—a stable, loving home where she can finally exhale and feel safe. Lydia thrives in a calm, secure environment and is looking for a patient, experienced adopter who understands that trust takes time. She may be a bit shy at first, but once she warms up, she blossoms into a deeply loyal and devoted companion. The bond she forms is special—quiet, steady, and incredibly rewarding. Currently, Lydia is participating in training, and she is absolutely shining. Her trainers are continually impressed by her intelligence and growing confidence. She’s learning valuable life skills, walking nicely on a loose leash, staying focused on her handler even around distractions, and excelling on field trips.   If you are looking for a loyal outdoor companion with a heart of gold, say hello to Kahlua—an 8-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound mix who defines “good ole’ boy” in the best possible way. Around 60 pounds of love and sweetness, Kahlua lives for sunshine, breezes, rustling leaves, and long, thoughtful walks. He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t rush through life—he notices everything, appreciates the little things, and reminds you to slow down and enjoy the moment. Kahlua has impeccable manners. Need to tie your shoe? He’ll stop and wait. Collar slips off? He’ll walk right over so you can fix it. He listens beautifully and truly wants to please his person. He also has a fun side—he loves squeaky toys, playing fetch (sharing the ball is a work in progress!), giving kisses, and being tucked in under cozy blankets like the pampered hound he is.  This boy is also a lake and boat enthusiast—a true water bug who will happily join you for every lakeside adventure. He grew up with other dogs and prefers being the “big guy,” doing well with respectful smaller dogs or calmer companions. Solo walks? He’s relaxed and steady. With bigger, energetic dogs? He may pull a bit in excitement. Kahlua loves kids who treat him kindly and is friendly toward cats, even though he didn’t share a home with them before. My adoption fee will be waived from August 18 – 24 as part of the MUTT-CHKINS ADOPTION EVENT !!!Meet Maggie, a 6-year-old, 51-pound hound mix with a heart as big as her zoomies! This sweet lady loves to romp around, proudly show off her toys, and then settle in for some affectionate snuggles. While we don’t have much information about her past, Maggie is ready to start her next chapter with a family who can give her the time and patience she needs to adjust to life in a home. She’s enjoyed playing with other dogs at the shelter and may be a great match for a resident pup with a compatible play style. If you`re looking for a loving, playful companion with a gentle soul, Maggie might just be your perfect match.
