Story
Introducing Bullseye -- A Happy, Loving Pup Ready to Hit the Mark in Your Heart! Bullseye and his brother Mugs came to us when the owner could no longer care for them. Bullseye is a very friendly, very loving puppy who's all about joy and connection. At six months old as of December 2025, he's already showing what a wonderful companion he's going to be. He is house and crate trained and goes right into his crate at bedtime, sleeping quietly through the night like a pro.Bullseye loves being outside in the yard -- he's such a happy guy that his tail practically wags his whole body! He walks well on leash and is food-motivated, which makes training fun and easy. So far, he knows out and treats, and he's continuing to learn puppy basics like keeping all four paws on the floor when treats are involved. Bullseye is a quick learner who's eager to please. As a puppy, Bullseye absolutely loves to play with other dogs. He can be adopted with his littermate brother Mugs, but if adopted on his own, he would do well as the second (younger) dog in the home, where he can follow the lead of an older dog. This will help make training easier and give him a built-in playmate. If you're looking for a joyful, affectionate pup who's ready for fun, learning, and lots of love, Bullseye is ready to meet you! You can begin the adoption process for him right now by filling out an application on our website, www.humanecny.org; or email info@humanecny.org; or call us at (315) 457-8762.Contact HumaneCNY if interested in this animal. You can fill out application to adopt at the shelter.

Story
Introducing Mugs -- A Sweet, Snuggly Pup Ready for His Forever Home.Mugs and his brother Bullseye came to us when the owner could no longer care for them. Mugs is a charming young pup (about six months old as of December 2025) with the perfect mix of playful puppy and relaxed couch potato. He is house and crate trained and goes right into his crate at bedtime, sleeping quietly through the night like a pro.He walks well on leash and is food-motivated, which makes training much easier. So far, Mugs already knows "out" and "treats," and his foster is continuing to work with him on puppy basics like keeping all four paws on the floor when treats are involved.Mugs can be a bit shy with new people at first, but he is friendly and warms up with gentle encouragement. Being a puppy, he absolutely loves to play with other dogs. He can be adopted with his littermate brother Bullseye, but if adopted separately, he would thrive as the second (younger) dog in the home, where he can follow the lead of an older dog. This setup will help boost his confidence, make training easier, and give him a built-in playmate. If you're looking for a sweet, trainable pup who enjoys playtime and then happily settles in for couch cuddles, Mugs may be your perfect match. You can begin the adoption process for him right now by filling out an application on our website, www.humanecny.org; or email info@humanecny.org; or call us at (315) 457-8762.Contact HumaneCNY if interested in this animal. Story
We have had Red for four years. We adopted him from Central Square and we found out that night he had a dislocated hip. After $6000 in surgery and physical therapy he is living his best! He loves other people and animals. The main reason for removing is our family loves Red so much that we want him to have a home and family that can support his hound dog needs. Red loves running through trails and fields and following scents. He's great with babies and other pets.
