He was taken into another shelter 1 year later and thanks to microchip our shelter was able to get him back as of August 16, 2024 so he’s now awaiting his adoption day. He is such a handsome hound and is as equally sweet too. He enjoys going out for walks and sniffing around in the play yards. Loves to run and play…has made friends with a lot of female dogs and enjoys their play dates. He hasn’t been with other male dogs as of now since he hasn’t been altered. He is keeping his paws crossed that his FOREVER home finds him very soon. Just a sweet boy who is around 7 years old and is current on shots. Story
Dory is a female hound mix estimated at 9 years young. An interesting combination of spunky and spacey, this gal doesn't let her age slow her down. She does well with other dogs & cats and tends to mesh well with anyone around her. Dory does just fine with all ages of kids in her space. She loves romping in the yard with her foster siblings and it would be ideal if she had a fenced in yard to be able to use her hound nose on a regular basis. Dory does love a neighborhood stroll though! When excited, she can be vocal, but at the end of the day- prefers a cozy home and bed to fall asleep on. Dory did test positive for heartworms and has begun treatment already! Please visit our website www.adoptionfirstanimalrescue.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Story
Meet this cutie named Winny! She came into the shelter March 14, 2024 and is patiently awaiting her chance at a happily ever after. She came in missing a lot of her fur more than likely from a flea allergy. She’s on the mend and feeling better and looking better too. Such a cutie and oh so very sweet too. She is 6 years old, current on shots, crate trained, and so deserving of a wonderful loving life to call her own. She is a great sized pup who is full of happiness and unconditional love to share. Going for walks, snuggling up in her blanket, and soaking up all the body rubs and affection is something Winny especially enjoys. Maybe you have the most perfect FOREVER home for sweet Winny?! Visit with her and be ready to fall in love. If you have another dog and are interested in meeting another potential new furry member please bring him or her to the shelter and meet on neutral ground before adopting. No need to shuffle the animals around any more than necessary. Please know that 1 mosquito bite can create heart worms and they can be fatal if not treated. It is VERY important to keep your pets healthy and protected by keeping them on a once a month heart worm and flea/tick prevention. These animals are counting on you as their owner to provide them with lots a love and the proper health care so PLEASE make sure you are aware and prepared before adopting. Owning a pet is an extra expense and responsibility but is so worth every minute and penny you invest in them. They will add lots of joy and unconditional love if given a fair chance. The shelter is open Mon.-Fri. 10-1, 2-5, Sat. 10-4. Adopt a homeless pet and save a life. If you can not adopt right now come out and volunteer and make a difference in the lives of these animals while they await their FOREVER home. In order to adopt any of our "bully breeds" there is special paper work that will need to be collected and approved prior to the adoption. We love all of our dogs and want to make sure to place our "bully babies" in homes best suited for them.

Story
Bella is a friendly, young 5 month old pup who loves to play, run and explore. She and her sister were found abandoned in the woods by a nice couple (around April 8, 2024) who are currently fostering them. A meet and greet can be arranged if seriously interested. She is very affectionate, gentle and will be your best friend in no time. Bella is athletic and has lots of energy, but she can also be a bit of a couch potato and loves to snuggle up on the couch or on her doggie bed. She would be the perfect fit for an active family, or even just someone looking for a companion. While Bella is a sweetheart she seems to get along with other animals too…her foster home has 2 other pups and cats.
