Story
Sammy, Sammy, Sammy!  Hi, I’m Sammy—the lovable and handsome pup you’ve been waiting for! I’m 7 months old, weigh about 40 pounds (and I’m still growing), and I’ve got the perfect mix of playful energy and laid-back lounging skills. I’m housetrained, I sleep through the night like a champ, and I’m crate trained too. Okay… I’ll admit it—I sometimes bark like a baby seal when I first go in , but don’t worry, I calm down quickly and then it’s snooze time. I’m also pretty clever—I already know how to sit, stay, and even use the doggy door! I love chew toys, puzzle games, and frozen peanut butter or yogurt treats (seriously, the best!). I play great with other dogs, but I’d also be perfectly happy being your one-and-only. After a good play session or walk, you’ll usually find me stretched out and lounging right by your side. I’m always up for walks, car rides, or any adventure, as long as I get to be with you. I would really LOVE a large yard to run around in since I still have that puppy energy. I’m playful, cuddly, smart, handsome, and loyal—basically the full package. All I need now is my furever family. Ready to meet Sammy? Story
Breed: Beagle, Terrier Mix  / Adoption fee is $150  / Sex: Male  / Age: Approximately 6 years old  / Weight: Approx. 35-42 pounds  Hi. My name is Cowboy, I am about six years old and I weigh almost forty pounds. I was surrendered to the rescue when my family was moving away and said they couldn't take me with them. I just don't understand that and was very confused at first. Now, I am over them and ready to move on with my life. I am a social boy, playful and loyal to my family. I talk a lot if someone comes around I don't know and I can sound quite fierce, despite my petite size. Actually I am a big chicken and will stand behind you or run to my crate, please don't tell anyone. I love toys, lots of them. I have always lived in a home with a fenced yard. I went to training classes and know all my basic obedience and how to walk with a harness on a leash. I like walks. I came to the rescue with two problems we have been working on, first I love food and treats. I should only weigh almost fourty pounds but it's hard for me to hold that weight because I will eat anything you give me! So they are watching how much food I eat and I am trying to get more exercise, did I say I love food and treats?  I have been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated (including influenza) and tested negative for heartworms. I tested positive for a tick borne illness after intake but the vet took care of me and it's no longer a concern but will cause me to test positive still (no treatment needed). My adoption fee is 150.00. If you are interested in adopting me please fill out an adoption application for me, Cowboy. I could protect you and be your friend if you can do the same for me. Quick View: House Manners: Housebroken and knows doggie door. Basic Training: Knows basic obedience just will need time to connect with new owners. Other Dogs: I can handle dogs of all sizes large or small. I am playful with other dogs, but will also respect their space if they ask. Cats: I was in the dog trainers home with cats and done very well with indoor cats, both the type that interacted with me and the fuzzy one wanted to attack me. Kids: We do not foresee any issues with well mannered kids being around Cowboy Fencing: Not a known escape artist. Respect 5 ft fence.  Important PLEASE read if interested in adoption: We have a pretty open adoption policy, apartments, unfenced yards, and young kids are okay, but only if the pet you are interested in is a good fit for that situation!!! Some dogs may require a fence of a certain type and height, due to safety, the breed or known history. 🥯 Meet Bagel! 🥯 Bagel is 4 months 🥯 Beagle Mix 🥯 Certified Good Boy-in-Training If you’ve ever wished your morning bagel had a personality, legs, and the ability to cause adorable chaos… congratulations, your dreams have come true. Introducing Bagel — a perfectly toasted, slightly chewy Beagle mix with a heart of gold and the instincts of a tiny detective who MUST investigate everything 🤣 🐶 What You’re Adopting: ℹ️A typical curious puppy who believes every object is a friend, snack, or both. ℹ️A dog-loving, people-loving, kid-loving little social butterfly. ℹ️A puppy who is learning not to use his tiny razor teeth to express joy. (We call it “Enthusiastic Mouth Mode.”) ℹ️A boy who is working hard on potty training and celebrates every success like he won the Super Bowl. ℹ️A champ who sleeps through the night in his crate, curled up in his little bed like a warm baked potato. ℹ️And yes… your very own adorable but annoying at times little rascal — the kind you can’t stay mad at because he looks at you with those big, “Who, me?” eyes 😃 Vibes & Aesthetic: Picture a loaf of bread with legs. Add floppy ears. Give it unlimited optimism. Add a dash of chaos. Voilà — Bagel! 🐾 Who Should Apply? 🤔 Families who find puppy shenanigans charming 🤔 Humans with a sense of humor 🤔 Anyone needing a loyal sidekick who will follow you into the bathroom 🤔 Households with kids or dogs who enjoy a baby brother with Beagle energy Bagel is ready to wiggle his way straight into someone’s heart (and probably their laundry basket). If you’re looking for a goofy, sweet, annoyingly lovable little dude who thinks the world is one big playground… Bagel is your boy. Bagel is neutered, current on age-appropriate vaccines and microchipped. His adoption fee is $225. To adopt Bagel, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/adoption-application to apply.
