🚨 TULSA AREA FOSTER NEEDED IMMEDIATELY. 🚨 Archer was code red in a full shelter, and they reached out to Helpless Hounds to help. We couldn't let him die, so we got him out today 5/7/26 but he is desperate for a foster and a place to rest while we begin his Heartworm treatment. Name: Archer Sex: Male (intact) Age: ~2 years Weight: ~70 lbs Breed: Coonhound Intake type: Shelter/Rescue transfer Vetting: Heartworm positive and ehrlichia positive. All vetting will be completed by the rescue. Social: Dogs - no aggression observed, Cats - unknown, Kids - unknown Notes: Picked up as a stray and described as very sweet and friendly with people. Training and housebreaking unknown. No behavioral concerns noted aside from typical hound vocalizing. He is very stressed in the kennel and expresses it loudly- this is a hound who is overwhelmed and needed out of a full shelter. ------ We are supposed to be on an intake hold but Archer should not have to die due to of lack of space. We are looking to rehome our sweet Daisy Dog. I found her dumped in a grocery store parking lot about 6 years ago. She has been neuterd and current on all her vacinations. We estimate she is about 9 years old. We have recently discovered she is not good around small children. She loves all dogs especially small dogs. We have a new grandbaby and cannot risk keeping her with a small child. I would love her to live out the remainer of her live in a loving home with room to roam and run. It would be great if a hunter would take her hunting! I am sure she would love that. If you have a place in your heart for the sweet girl you wont be dissapointed. She loves the cuddle!

Ruby is a 3 year old, 45 lb sweetheart with a loving and athletic spirit. She loves romping outside with other dogs, squeaky toys, learning new things, and curling up for cuddles with her people. She absolutely lights up when she sees familiar people. Her tail wag is endless and she happily soaks up belly rubs and affection. Shes housebroken, crate trained and currently lives happily in a family setting with kids, dogs, and cats. She does best with slow intros to new dogs but once she realizes they are friendly shes very sweet, playful and submissive. She is a wonderful cat companion also and totally ignores them, including the litter box.Ruby completed a 3 week board and train program and did AMAZING. Her trainer was impressed with how quickly she picks up new skills and how eager she is to work. She learned all kinds of obedience skills and manners. She can be anxious meeting new people outside her comfort zone so adopters without expectations of taking her out and about to busy places is ideal. Shes a simple girl that loves the familiarity and routine of home and walks in nature. Rubys quite agile and can jump low fences so high fences and/or supervision while shes outdoors is a must. If youre looking for a loyal, loving companion and believe in giving a dog with a hard background a second chance, Ruby might just be your girl! Ruby is spayed, microchipped, utd on vaccines and prevention and negative for both heart worms and tick diseases. Our Rescue is 100% donation based all the way to adoption. We do not have set adoption fees, but we do require a donation to be made at the time of adoption. Donations go towards saving other animals and preparing them for their new lives in their new homes!
