Lady is being fostered in TX. HI! I am delighted that you are interested in knowing more about me! I am about 3 months old*. My absolute passions are EAT, MOVE and Cuddle! In fact, among my many super pawers is my super sense of smell, so I became highly excited when smelling delicious foods around me! My foster mamma and I are working hard to learn how to harness this super power! My second super power is my high level of energy and my strong curiosity, I guess that makes three super powers, isn’ it? If you don’t give me a job to do, I will find it on my own! So it is very important for me that you become my guiding light. Yet, I also want you to be soft and cuddle with me in quiet times, since I actively look for bonding, reassurance, and safety. I am good with kiddos, but I will prefer kiddos 6+ since I - for now - get excited and might scratch them by accident. Also, I highly benefit from tolerant and playful siblings who can help me balance when the puppyhood zoomies come! Did I tell you that I am already potty trained? YUP!!! I am proudly potty trained. Regarding my eyes, I have Microphthalmia which “is a congenital condition where one or both eyeballs are abnormally small” on my right eye. My foster momma is seeing a little cloudiness on my left eye*, so I am going to visit an eye specialist in mid August. However, I have not presented any issue navigating the house, jumping the stairs, or avoiding any obstacles in the backyard. I am sure my foster momma will update any relevant info after our appointment. Are you ready to love me? * By the time of this writing on July 2nd. BDRA has voted against the use of eletrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Lucy loves everyone and thinks everyone loves her. She has never even so much as growled at another animal. Lucy is friendly with people and other pets. She lives with me and another adopted female dog, and an adopted cat. They all love each other and occasionally sleep together. I’ve had Lucy since she was a pup but I will be moving into a new home where there are no animals and none are wanted due to allergies. I am a widowed senior female and want to make sure Lucy finds a loving home. Lucy is well behaved and smart. She Loves long walks, especially if she can be off leash and near a body of water as she likes to swim. But she will settle for a walk in the neighborhood if that’s all she can get. She’s very friendly, healthy and happy.

Hank's Story Meet Hank Like his name sake, Hank Williams, this little 11 month, 28 pound, Beagle/Hound mix, has had a rough start in his life. His mother had just got evicted and was on the side of the road giving him and his brothers away, Hank said it was scary. A nice lady, Beth stopped and rescued him and called BCAWS and now little Hank and his brother, Waylon, is getting medical care. Hank wants you to know his favorite song is “Hey, Good Lookin”, and he tried to sing it and show it while taking pictures for you. He and is brother is a little scared and confused on what is going on but desperately wants to find their forever home so they can shine and turn their life around. Gretel's Story Meet Granny Gretel! This girl is 11 years young and weighs in at 34 lbs. If you are looking for a couch dog, tv watching buddy that enjoys short walks and has great leash manners, this may be your girl! Gretel is house broken, and good in or out of her crate... unless you leave food at an available location.. She is good with other dogs but may do best avoiding living with a dominant dog as she is opinionated. Great with cats and hasnt met a stranger. Due to her advanced age, she may not be good around young children. Her only downfall is she may have some long term allergies. She responds very well to cytopoint and is perfect for baths. She had bad previous flea allergies and this may just be lingering itch. She is fully vetted. As you can see by the pictures she is a big couch potato and loves to snuggle indoors, especially on the couch with her human.
