Turkish Angora kittens & cats in Anchorage, Alaska

A beautiful little girl, Marilyn is in need of love. She was adopted as a kitten to a home with a cat who did not like her. Marilyn is now 7 months old and most of her life has been in a home where she did not have a friend. She does love her people and she does okay with nice gentle dogs. But other cats, she is just now trying to get back to that time when she was loved by others of her own species. She's relearning play with kitty friends, and snuggling with kitty friends. She wants to fit in and she is trying. But after so much rejection, she is going to take a minute to realize that not all other cats will be mean to her. Marilyn really needs people who will give her reassurance that she is fine and she is loved. And preferably a cat who is mellow and understands that Marilyn will need a little time and understanding to know that she is safe. She will also need a place outside where she can go with her humans and her cat/dog friend and enjoy that personal space that allows us all to recover from the tough times. She's in Soldotna. Calm, confident, and strong! This only begins to describe Spartan. He reminds you of the cat sitting on the picket fence in the pictures of countryside and farm calendars. Surveying and keeping an eye on his land and people. he know he had a loving home at one time before becoming a stray on the streets as he loves people, being petted, and getting attention. He has a gentleman’s soul and heart! He went so long without love that he can sometimes get overstimulated and give a smack with his front paw but doesn’t use his claws. Spartan does great with other cats. He is happy to move off to the side after a quick hello and let them move on to do their cat thing. He doesn’t seek out other cats for comfort or companionship so he could easily be an only cat or live with other cats. He does fine with calm dogs who respect his bubble and don’t push boundaries. He will do fine with kind gentle older children, but no young kiddos since he can get overstimulated at times. Spartan loves napping in the cat tree during the day and come nighttime he likes sleeping on a cozy cat couch in the master bedroom, being close to his family. Having a taste of freedom, a nice big safe outside area to enjoy summer adventures is a must, but also the security of having a loving family and a warm house to sleep in at night. Little Miss Gracie… feisty, sweet, young and stunning in her black coat! What more could a family want in a cat? I’m pretty sure this translates to purrrfection! This young lady at just around 9 months old is very demanding when it comes to getting attention. She will grab your hand and give little love nips to make sure you know she isn’t done soaking up all the love and pets. She adores other cats so a young playful friendly kitty in her new home is a must. When she was younger, she was chased into a home by a dog so we aren’t sure how she would do with a dog in her new home. She may do okay with a very mellow older dog who will respect her space and not try to be her friend. Older kind children should be fine, but no young kids since she does give love nips. Gracie loves going outside, like really loves going outside. Come Springtime she will need to have a safe area to go outside. Sunny naps in the grass would be wonderful! She is in Wasilla.
