Story
Meet Jethro, a resilient and affectionate feline who has overcome a rough past. For a year, he lived under a tumultuous household, evading capture until finally getting trapped and given to a foster to be taken care of. This gentle soul craves love and attention, melting into head scratches, chin scratches, and snuggles. Despite his tough exterior, Jethro has never hissed or bitten, and it's clear he has lived in a home before. His luxurious coat is still growing in after being shaved, and his true colors are yet to be revealed. He seems to love having a cat friend and will prefer to have one in his new home. He is purrfect with people and is eager to find a patient and loving home where he can thrive. No small children, please, but a quiet and compassionate space to call his own, where he can receive endless chin scratches and adoration. He will need a safe place outside where he can go with his family to enjoy the summer that's coming soon. He is a young adult about 3 years old. In Eagle River. Call 720-563-7141

Story
The cutest little brothers a year old; they are the sweetest kitties! Frankie and Davey are affectionate and playful and very well-behaved. It's hard not to fall in love with their adorable little faces and their gentle loving spirits. They will get along with other nice kitties and nice doggies are okay too. They like to roughhouse but they are not crazy terrorists. For youngster, they have great house manners. Frankie and Davey came from a rough start. Everyone in their litter had bad eye infections. By the time they came into rescue, some damage was done. The long term infection left a little damage. One of Frankie's eyes still has a partial cloud over it. He can see out of that eye to some extent but not clearly. The other eye seems fine. He, and Davey too at times, has a tendency for eye tearing that needs wiping to keep the eyes clear. A small effort for the love and joy these sweeties will bring to your life. They are fine staying inside during the winter, but when spring comes, they love a nice sunny yard to play in outside with their family. Frankie and Davey are bonded and must be adopted together. Their adoption fee is $120. They are in Anchorage. Call or text 907 980-8898

Story
Mary Oliver was a pampered kitty in her previous home who had all of the freedom in the world. That freedom resulted in Mary going missing a few times until she found her way to the shelter. Mary Oliver enjoys having outdoor time, but supervised outdoor time is the best! She may be a great candidate for a catio. Mary Oliver has never lived with other animals and has enjoyed being the only pet in the home. Introductions to new animals should be taken slowly and we encourage adopters to keep pets separate while she is adapting. We want nothing more than to find her a home that she will be happy and comfortable in! Mary Oliver was a great family kitty. She loves attention and is very affectionate. She did great with children in her previous home. Mary Oliver is very social! She does great with being carried, brushed and was even good for the occasional bath. Mary Oliver has a pretty chill, go with the flow attitude. She prefers to nap in the sun, but is always happy to snooze in your lap. Mary is quite playful and loves toys that make noise and toy mice. We get the vibe that she would be a good mouser! If you believe Mary Oliver would be a good fit for your home we would love for you to come by and meet her.

Story
Kombucha is a sweet and quiet guy. He tends to show his love by sitting in front of you, waiting for nice pets. He is laid back and tends to just go with the flow! Kombucha arrived to the shelter as a stray so it is unknown if he has lived with other animals, but during his time in the shelter he has not been bothered by the other kitties! Introductions to new friends should be taken slowly. Kombucha hasn’t been seen playing with toys much but he does love his cat scratcher! He has done well with being picked up and held. When first picked up he may give you a big stretch! Kombucha is absolutely adorable and we can’t believe no one has adopted him yet!

Story
Shadow was recently surrendered to the shelter due to her owners health, but she was very loved. Shadow lived with a small dog in her previous home and they got along well. Her owner mentioned that they loved snuggling together! Shadow has not lived with other kitties and can become irritated by the other cats in the shelter. A home with other cats may not be a good fit for Miss Shadow! Shadow is very sweet and affectionate. She enjoys the simple things in life like being brushed and lounging in the sun. Shadow was able to spend time outside, but has found her way to the shelter after being caught in a live trap. Safe / supervised outdoor time is the best and we believe she would be a good candidate for a catio! Shadow has not lived with children yet and was used to her calm home. She is incredibly social and tolerable though - with proper introductions we imagine her doing well with children .

Story
This is actually Freddie’s second time at the shelter. He was adopted a couple years ago and made his way back as a stray, unfortunately we had no luck getting in touch with his original adopters. Freddie is very social and playful. He loves to make friends and is always putting on a show for those who come to meet him! He is very playful and appreciates having plenty of toys to play with. Toy mice and things that make noise of his fav! He always has a good time playing with catnip as well. Freddie will follow you around until you give him some attention. He will play with your hands and is quite fast at catching fingers when you poke him in his kennel! He has been very gentle - he just likes to play! Freddie is a long haired cat that will require regular brushijng, luckily he does great with being brushed! Freddie may be a great family kitty and would love to find a home that will love him for the rest of his life. Introductions to new animals should be taken slowly!

Story
Kiki is a mellow and lazy kitty. She loves attention and is always happy to receive some butt scratches! Kiki is usually seen laying in her bed and she tends to people watch. When you do come to say hi she will give you gentle head butts. Kiki would most likely be happiest in a home that matches her energy. We imagine her loving windows to perch at to continue her people watching and cat trees! Kiki has shown some irritation towards other cats and may do best as the only cat. If you do have other animals and are interested in Kiki please know that it may take her some time to adapt to living with other furry friends again. She is said to do well with chill dogs and children! Kiki is a lap cat who appreciates napping with her people. Kiki is a little chunky and you can imagine that she loves yummy snacks. Come by and meet Kiki if your home would be a good fit for her!
